It might appear like a 1000T, but it's actually a 1003 that had its solenoids removed.

​​@@SteveCraft612 It sounds like this because its solenoids were removed, before that it sounded like a normal 4/5 Port Edit: this siren used to have the 5/6 port but was converted to 4/5 Port.

@@LCS508you were right with the solarnoids but the reason why it sounds like a 4/5 is because it was converted from 5/6 to 4/5

Yeah, I will say that this is one of my favorite sounds for a Thunderbolt siren. Reminds me of siren #65...

Just wondering, how do you get the info on these sirens? Is it on the siren itself or online on a website?

@@LCS508 the serial number is A0015574H90. H90 = August 1990

​@@LCS508 ​ Look up "The Thunderbolt Siren Map". It's a wonderful map documenting all known standing thunderbolts, and if known their status, testing schedule and serial numbers. The Thunderbolts have a tag on the rotator box and a few other places. People with good enough cameras are able to zoom into these tags and grab the information from them. The head on this siren has a serial number of A0015574H90 according to to the map mentioned above. The H90 means it was produced in August 1990 if I'm not mistaken. A recently removed Thunderbolt at 47th and Clifton in Oaklawn used to be the second 90s bolt with a head tag of A0015573H90 until it was shut off indefinitely last August and removed within the past few months.

Do you know what’s happening to the siren?

@@Phonemannn no, but I think it was scrapped. I've tried looking it up on the Sedgwick county siren website, but couldn't find anything about it.

@@LCS508 they are going to give the sirens to ruler areas that are in hilly climates I found that out on the Internet

​@@Sirenfireproductions5209I did forget to mention that E Madison Ave turns into E 79th St near where the park entrance is. It will be a right turn at the Rock Rd Madison Ave intersection if you are northbound on Rock Rd.

This siren did sound a bit low powered the last time I heard it, so it may have failed.

​@@LCS508 It probably failed. This part of the county wasn't mentioned in the list of 2024 replacement areas they put on their website.

​@@LCS508It's not really underpowered. It's just the brushes in the siren change the pitch on it.
