I took a class from this two and I didn't know how to use my walking foot. Melissa came over hooked up the foot. I started to sew and Bam, everyone heard the loud noise even her mother. I didn't think anything of it, I looked up and saw that the foot clicked and started sewing. The next thing the needle kept on bring up the thread and I kept asking Melissa why she came over and wasn't able to figure it out. I got home and started making a little dress and again the thread kept jamming and I looked and looked and saw that the needle plate had a a crack from the day before. She had not installed the foot right and there for when I started to sew the needle went down so hard that it had cracked the needle plate. I let Melissa know and she never called to say she was sorry or anything. This people claim they are great at what they do, but Really they are not, the mom couldn't even figure out what to do during an other class and the customers had to help. I am so disappointed in these two women. I really thought they were nice and willing to teach. Another thing I had come over during the summer and mention to Melissa that I was making a jelly rug, but couldn't figure how to finish it. Melissa forgot I guess, during these class she was so Rude and did not treat me very nice. Her nasty remarks were not something I would have thought she would say. I just couldn't understand why she would be so nasty. When I have taken other classes if your project is half done no big deal the teacher works with you and is thankful that you even try to do it at home. Well if you buy anything just remember they do not even know how to work with it. As did her mother when she was showing me a sewing machine, she didn't even know how to thread and her daughter did later. RUN

Great video. My machine doesn’t have the overcast stitch, so I do a French seam on the two sides of the pillow case. This way I don’t have any ragged edges that may fray with regular washing.

What is the difference between the two Aveneer machines? Also hopefully they fixed the problem with the thread always being pulled out of the needle

FINALLY, thank you for letting us know we can open the area around the take up lever to remove snarls and shredded thread. (Minute 4) This has been a problem on my Luminaire and twice I had to bring in my machine for the tech to remove. Finally we can remove these problems ourselves. This was my #1 request with the new machine and no one else is talking about it. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

is this the same as sewing a French seam pillow case?

I sew wrong sides together and put a French seam inside the body of the pillow
