Very situational, but usually you space them out for more coverage over the course of the packs. This usually happens as a result of using VB to gather a pack.

@ just mostly playing San layn without the points in improved vampiric blood and no rune tap either. Compared to deathbringer with UE and all that. I mostly do 13 and 14 pugs and I wanted to play something like that San layn build to do more dmg, but if I try a build like that, I feel like I’m too scared/squishy get the benefit of the offensive build anyway. But I also have no plan lol just freeballing it in a pug. Might be more effective with a coordinated group

Well if it helps, Improved VB does essentially nothing for you defensively, alot of people tend to forget you're already really stron inside baseline VB and everyone I've seen running runetap also leave other defensives in the spellbook and when they dont they just overlap everything and its value is wasted anyway That being said you can for sure still plan things while pugging, I know because I've done it for 4 seasons now

I find 12s overwhelming as DK so doing 17 as blood is nasty

That was the 2nd DnD of the pull, though that is still very bad play from me- you're incentivized to stand in DnD as much as possible. Just played bad is all. Also pushing keys is all a case of looking at the pulls and deciding which tools you'll use to deal with x mechanic

I think the current issues lie more within the Crowd Control changes at the start of TWW Beta, if some tank mechanics were stunnable as they were in the past, more would be manageable on blood. Also I don't like to see the spec as a parry slot machine, relying on RNG is never "the play" and finding something consistent is always key.

@@Boardman328 I enjoyed sanlayn even before the buffs to either spec, its just what I decided to run this key, next time I'll be playing DB though for more consistent output and a general survivability increase.

That’s the problem with blood dk this expansion. You’re pretty much three hits from death at any point.

@Reh0ly Sure, but with multiple mobs wailing on you it's a lot harder to predict those hits compared to tank busters with visible indicators. I know DK's have that juicy ~30 % damage reduction at lower health, but your health dropping super low multiple times in quick sucession just makes it feel very out of control. I'm just chilling at 11-12 key range myself. But even there it's hard to feel relaxed on bigger pulls. 🥲

@@hurmeli I think it's just a familiarity thing, I've played these pulls so much that I know exactly how much damagw ill be taking and I know exactly what is 'too much" to handle. I will agree though that sometimes it can be hard to take everything into account and I would be stupid to say I've never died to white hits overlapped with busters, because everyone has done that. I think getting used to the intake of each pull does take time but you just get to the point where you know everything that is supposed to happen.

All stats are good, there's no reason to neglect any of them - Just whatever sims highest, also worth mentioning that all defensive benefits from stats are also good in the same sense. Me having "low" vers is just a result of me equipping highest simming gear and getting more vers above other stats isn't a priority in any current content.

Deathbringer provides more defensive benefits without sacrificing too much ST and still providing very good consistent AoE damage + Prio, San'layn is alot weaker and dps is mostly rng in large pulls.

It's playable and viable but there's no doubt that San'layn is worse-off defensively, it has less innate DR just from playing the game and less BP ticks than DB does. Also DB is just way more consistent from a damage perspective specifically in AOE and I don't think variance is something you're chasing when pushing keys.

All 16s are for sure possible right now and a couple of 17s (everything is subject to change up until and including the .7 patch)

Deathbringer is more harder and UE is defensive options. I think he prefer more damage bcs he dont need UE.

Deathbringer is way more consistent and brings more defensive benefits (faster bp ticks and more DR from hero talents) Sanlayn is better on 100% uptime ST fights with the correct gear and AoE is a complete diceroll, you can go from doing Dragonflight numbers on aoe to doing Midnight numbers in two seperate packs. Because of these things and the volatile nature of m+, I decide to play deathbringer in every push key.
