Because it is slower, it only goes 110mph on most parts of the WCML since the 807 and 805's can't tilt however I think AWC might increase their max speeds up to 125mph on the whole of the WCML.

The 807s will be fully in service when the winter timetable rolls out, I believe the trains you are thinking of is the class 810 with EMR they should be running next year 😁

What they do is switch ends so they don’t need to run around the loco, it makes it quicker so they can treat the track faster, some of the time MPVs do this but the uk needs more of them! 🙂

It’s a prototype aeroplane with an aircraft carrier horn, that never got its feet off the ground so they converted it into a train with southern forgetting to clean the air filter. 😅

@Whisper_Transport Nah don't worry about it. Tomorrow 5X81 should be an LNER azuma (possibly the same one you saw going back to the ECML). It departs Eastleigh at 09.47 and goes to Reading and then I think it goes to ferme park before going up to Doncaster IEP depot.
