    I think it would be hilarious if 23XI was successful in proving NASCAR to be a monopoly who is giving unfair advantages to teams with charters. The court may order NASCAR to stop the charter system so everyone is on an equal financial footing. That is, no teams will get tv revenue money and NASCAR must keep it all because of the court order. Why would you say that? These teams have millions of dollars invested into a NASCAR Charter - did you think this money that was invested will just go away? NASCAR hopes it does as in the past, but NASCAR offered something of cash-value this time to team owners investing in these Charters. NASCAR can not just make an asset disappear that they alone created. NASCAR just said I can take away or grant a Charter to anyone of you Charter Holders anytime I want. What do think just happened to the value of the Charters' today being held by the other teams? In my eyes the Charter holders are now holding bad paper; NASCAR has stripped all the value out of being a Charter Holder. NASCAR went on to say that will give more prise money as a concession to the teams that signed and will play by their rules. Oh, that sounds like a Public Confession to me! This will not play well in a Court of Law for NASCAR.

    I like your idea. Oddly Indycar already does something like this with Indy GP and the Indy 500 being few weeks apart. There's a sustained marketing between them. I often thought that Indycar should pair up Homestead race with St. Petersburg race. Having the races a week apart would increase the visibility of Indycar in state of Florida. I think what's been so detrimental to Indycar has been the utter reliance on TV dictating the schedule. There's clearly a gap in early going of season, and they can't seem to find a track to fill the gap. There's gotta be a way for Indycar to convince St Pete promotors to invest in following up the race with Homestead or even Sebring (which is nearby St. Pete). I definitely like the whole Texas campaign, I think Indycar needs to follow suit of what many musical acts do when they tour, they travel a very linear path of venues from one city to another. Obviously these acts aren't beholden to TV schedules. But Indycar establishing tour-like campaign would dramatically help market the series, especially to young people. We need more motorsports festivals between races.

    • @GarageGuyChase
      @GarageGuyChase 24 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@Kevinap34. Appreciate the insight, Kevin! IndyCar could definitely lean more into that concept, and pairing St. Pete with Homestead or Sebring could absolutely boost their visibility in Florida-especially if they make it feel like a mini-festival between the two. A tour-like campaign for IndyCar could be a game changer for bringing in younger fans. More motorsports festivals, more fan engagement between races-love where your head’s at on this. Like make a Florida month of it and then move to California month with thermal and laguna seca. Chicago is not comparable to Arlington. The area around AT&T Stadium is a suburban area. It's not the same as a downtown area as far as landmark buildings and hangout spots. However, I will say that they should be able to come up with a good track layout that won't be too tight and should make for decent racing relative to other street courses. But, for a series that loves to hype passing, few places offer passing to the level of TMS. I've been saying, the crowds and atmosphere would be greatly improved at ovals like TMS if the same investment was made like they do on street courses with building out the track, infrastructure, hospitality, etc.

    • @GarageGuyChase
      @GarageGuyChase 24 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@kevindearing4704 I've been to both places and trust me I'm very aware that Chicago is not anything like the Dallas area. NASCAR left in oval and went to a street race. That's the comparison Im making here. I'm excited about it and I think they're going to do a great job on the layout.

  • @caseman799
    @caseman799 25 วันที่ผ่านมา

    I like street courses. There should be more. I wish Indianapolis would get one. I get that they sometimes aren't as good for racing. It is pretty dull when Colton wins pole, leads almost every lap, and wins. HOWEVER, there is something cool about seeing jets on wheels racing on streets like the ones near my house. Street courses are the icebreaker for racing newbies that still view ovals as turning left. Street courses are self advertising because they are impossible for locals not to notice. Street course get your attention. Ovals hold your attention. Road courses are that happy middle ground.

What if **insert billionaire** took notice of the series and wanted to test the waters? This charter adds a huge obstacle to outsiders. This means less shakeups. Less surprise. I think if Red Bull really wanted to run an IndyCar, and bump Ed Carpenter out of starting last place, that should be allowed.

      For most events, only two non-charter slots will be available, as the grid size will be capped at 27 cars (except for the Indy 500, which will continue to have 33 spots).
