Finally Beat Isshin Ashina | Sekiro
Managed to barely pull this one off, even with accidentally poisoning myself... What a great game.

What a great series. At this point I had beaten all the bosses in the series except for him and Midir. Even with that experience under my belt he still proved to be a fun and challenging fresh fight.

I’ve been trying this trick for many sessions. I’ve felt so bad for not being able to get it by now, but I’m glad to know that I’m not alone in taking a while on this seemingly easy trick
It took me quite a long time, don't give up!
with this exact deck, I got to 34 points in 17 turns, and 30 points in 14 turns. Very unoptimal gameplay
how are you with rock fakie on big ramps?
Not too bad. I don't have access to super large ramps but I can comfortably RTF on 6-8 footers if they're not those crazy vert concrete bowl type ramps we have at the parks near me.
King! 🔥❤
Yes :) 🔥❤
I want to thank you so much this was the key!!! I can’t believe it! Once I tried rock n roll it took 5 min to get past the coping. Now I have board control!!
Awesome! Glad to hear it.
That was very comprehensive! Thanks g.
Happy to help!
Who would think that the most helpful video on this is from a random dude in his backyard. Thanks man
Happy to help -- keep on skating!
That's a alleyoop grind
Thanks Mega video!
No prob, keep on skating!
Thank you 💚 This is one of the best readings I've heard for this book.
love it. rock to fakie was super easy but I have been working on the Uptown for months and it seems so much more scary.
Lucky! Rock to fakie is such an essential trick for fakie trick setups, uptowns are just wacky (but fun, don't get me wrong).
Wow. I am still chickening out doing them. This might be the breakthrough video for me! Glad to see it does take time. Also excited to try those „little“ rock n‘ roll‘s! You rock bro, literally! 😄🤘🏻
Thanks. How'd it go? You get 'em?
of all the videos i watched about this trick. this was the best! i am just afraid of touching the coping never mind getting over it... i can kick turn over it tho FS and BS because i dont feel it but as soon as i touch it i jump of the board. really annoying! dont even know what i am afraid off... i do way hard stuff than that. i guess because ramp is new to me, about 3 month. drop ins were the worst at the beginning. i had actually panic doing them but it can do them now. even without shaking like i survived an attack on my life. did not help with the coping problem even tho the drop ins were way worse. very interesting to me to say the least!
Glad to hear that it helped! When I first started skating minis I learned to drop in relatively quickly but yeah it was terrifying. I broke a rib (shortly after just starting, from dropping a ledge not dropping in) and was afraid to drop in again for like a month afterwards. Drop ins always look very easy for folks but standing at the top of the ramp (no matter how tall) is a totally different story.
Very interesting learning process You've clearly mastered them now! Did about 427 variations of them 👌
LOL, variations are fun
Is this a michael katz translation?
*frontside
I love spine's But im also afraid of them The Cove skatepark in Santa Monica California were i am has a really nice one I usually just air over it. Like a jump ramp
Lol im scrollin down checkin out your moves and this cought me off guard 🤣🤣🤣
You turned kinda late And almost did a halfcab blunt That would be sick If you haven't done it yet I have blunt rock fakies Blunt 5050's And boneless blunt rock n rolls
One of my favorite tricks How come you don't show the Whole mini ramp? Love your videos Surprised you don't get more views.
Nice breakdown. Agreed on “just send it” - I see so many people hang up that way, or develop the bad habit of rolling their wheels over the coping. RTF for me was especially intimidating. I practiced it on flat banks, lifting my wheels over the edge as if there was coping there. It got me used to that weird imbalanced feeling of the fakie manual. I gradually worked my way up to a regular quarter pipe with coping. True that there is a point where you just need to send it, but only after you’ve developed that proper technique.
Well said!
Way better than the Librivox version. Thanks🫡
Great video! I didn't quite get what you mean about "stabbing the board forward". I tried to find it in the videos from "Never stop improving", but I don't think he mentioned this "stabbing" thing.
Yeah that's the best way I can describe how it felt at first. It's almost defensive -- you keep your body back and just try to quickly stab an invisible barrier over the coping.
@@MichaelsBazaar Another question. Do you lift your back foot at the same time as you're stabbing the invisible barrier? Because it feels like you cannot "tip" the board forward if you still put weight on the tail (with the back foot).
I'm not sure I really "lift" the back foot per se. I release pressure on the front foot to clear the coping before hitting and before descending back down.
I can only do Rock to Fakie on a tiny ramp and without actually rocking the board on the coping. I found that focusing on lifting the front knee helps a lot. Both to get over the coping on the way up, and to clear the coping on the way down. I also focus on crouching by "sitting down" before pumping/riding up the ramp. I have noticed that it gets you in a better position/posture overall, which helps you balance while you stall at the top of the ramp. This is how it looks :) th-cam.com/video/GM-Ss1WgFyo/w-d-xo.htmlsi=r6WKsNtBGEVwR92r
Nice! Yeah, bending knees is crucial generally for mini skating. Definitely not talked about enough.
At 7:25 you double throne roomed a Council Room saying it was to “preserve actions”. I must have not understood this. Does double throning a card without any +actions actually give you actions??
throne + throne + terminal draw is 1 way to bypass the lack of actions. By throne rooming the throne room, you get to play the throne room twice. The first throne room is for your terminal draw (smithy or council room). At this point you have a lot of cards, but no actions remaining. HOWEVER, because you still have the second play of the throne room already on the field and in play, you can throne room an action card that was drawn, and as long as it has a +action component, you can continue chaining effects.
I know it's already old but how did you get 4 gold from 1 militia? Around 3:30
He throne roomed it. It were several throne rooms because he had throne roomed a throne room. ...throne room
@@jangohemmes352 thanks ye I kinda figured it out by playing a couple times with throne room and militia. <3
Dear Michael, Thanks so much for your video! To me this is the best video on YT on Rock to fakie! Your explanations are very helpful. I will stay patient and take your approach as a reference.
Glad to help!
5:50 why didn't you at least Throne Room the Militia to get an extra +2?
these are usually hard for me to do without hitting a super-spine-twister but sometimes every once in a while i wont even have to wind up and the momentum will turn me around and ill land clean as fuck.
Similar to drop ins, what I found the best method is to have someone hold your arms beside you. Do it with help 2-3 times and you got it. For me it was mostly the fear of not knowing what will happen exactly, just like with the drop in. Do it once.or twice and it is demystified.
Having someone hold your arm is a nice idea. I've seen folks learn drop ins that way and it seems to work well.
'The end'? The narrative I know of doesn't have a natural ending as this is lost.
Fall session
Truly appreciate this.
NIce. I think I'd call this a fakie backside smith.
I got SUPER comfortable just pumping back and forth on a pretty big half-pipe(6ft.) until I was very confident riding down fakie. Then I did what you recommended on the large ramp until I was pretty high up but not over the coping. Finally I just found a smaller quarter ramp and just went for it. Now I'm just working my way back up the the coping of the 6 footer.
Now I struggled for 6 months. Watching lame videos that real didn't help. I'll tell you I analyzed what I did to finally get it. Number 1 make sure the front foot is directly over bolts it will help you balance when the front goes over. Number 2 your rear shoulder needs to lean back into the ramp passed the tail. It will be easy to manual the board back. Also you ll find you won't be having to jump off over and over because now you're ready to be over your board when your going back in. Also take a sports ankle support like they use in MMA. Put padding on the inside of the rear leg. It helps because you won't have to bail because of pain of board hitting it. It will take awhile but find a 2 ft quarter so it doesn't look so scary 👍
Glad to hear you got it!
Cool video!
That's an aggressive skate trick, not a skateboarding trick😂 but looks cool
That's awesome. Is it hard to get into the rock position? I keep getting too scared to try the trick because I feel like my wheels are going to catch on the coping.
@paulfield6815 It's a fun one! Getting into position is not terribly hard. My recommendation would be to start standing in the axle stall position and try jolting it into rock position a few times, keeping the bail at hand. Don't worry about actually pulling off the rock, back in, yet, just try to get it set up first, then once you've got that start connecting the pieces.
Very kewl.
Thanks.
You are a Godsend. Brilliant bastard. You even put the timestamps in the description!

Crooked tail stall

Trying so hard to learn this trick 😂 looks sick!
This is a fun one -- lemme know when you land it! The only tips I've got for this one are - it helps to be able to drop in from a "rock to fakie" position, then, once you have that, - try the half-cab in (180 spin) slow and try to actually plant the front wheels on the deck (to stop the spin) and take it slow coming back in Once you've got it down slowly you can get it faster/smoother with practice. It took a few months AFTER learning the full cab rock and roll (180 to rock to 180 out) to learn this trick. Though rock and roll type tricks tend to come more naturally for me than rock to fakie tricks.
