Arrived in a massive convoy of trucks and buses, was a good festy then, but Micheal Greedis stitched us up with the sketchy security who tried to tob tge farmhouse at the Treworgey tree fayre in 89 in cornwall but they got their asses kicked, he knew it would be a battle and deliberately hired them against police advice, it was the Dodgy black security from Bristol who started the 1990 riot thst year not Travellers.

My first one. Walked in for nothing through the travellers camp. Totally lost it and just monged about in the Green field til the acid wore off. When we went to leave our van was clamped and cost us £80 to release it, great adventure though!

Watching this and I'm pretty certain that I'm walking from centre towards the left between 1:12 to 1:15. The figure on the left looks like a girl called Rachel who I went to Glastonbury with that year. Silhouettes and way of moving look right but will probably never know for sure. Would have been about the same time as my avatar photo (and probably the same clothes:-))

Brilliant and sums up the essence of Glasto very well. i was there that year and every fest there since; now have a ticket for 2015. it has lost an edginess to some degree but it's still there, on and off.

Nice one Matthew, did you shoot on Super8? I can't think why you don't appear in MY film of Glastonbury Festival 1990 - must have missed you somehow :-) Cheers, Paul. Message for Mischa, there is a tiny bit of Archaos Circus in my film (one of the guys with an angle grinder on top of the pyramid), so this is not the only footage out there, and you're welcome to use it.
