Forging the Triton 36000/2 Titanium Pressure Hull
มุมมอง 28K4 ปีที่แล้ว
Watch as Triton and partners ATI forge the world's first and only full-ocean-depth rated submersible pressure hull from titanium. Machined and forged to within 99.999% perfect circularity, it is one of the most precisely produced spherical pressure hulls on the planet.

Change Your Perspective- The Triton Experience
riding around on spongebobs couch
She handled that stick really well in the underwater simulator. I’d take her down anytime she wanted.
Triton. You gotta start uploading more videos. These are incredible quality and seeing the submarines on camera does a lot for understanding their capabilities and what it’s like. Trust me, you would get hundreds of thousands of views if you just put a little more effort in. -Huge fan
Now that is COOL
R.I.P y'all just in case of imploded 💐
Imagine fucking in there? ❤
Weird question, how do people urinate?
Thats actually a verry valid question. I would like to know too
I shall called this, diving couch, lol. It looks like a couch with bubble around it.
subnatica ahh submarine💀
Thats connor 😂😂😮
remember oceangate.
I want this triton....
Impressive, love the new form factor. Beautiful engineering as well.
This is just a coffin with a viewing port
gotta love these morons. I know you just found out what submersibles are but do realize there are veterans in this industry that have been doing this for ages. Not everything has do with Oceangate.
Its a reverse fishbowl. Neat. Seriously though, it looks like a well built vessel.
Can it go down to Titanic?
Doubt it
Last time a submarine went down to the titanic well, I’m sure you know the rest
Hey, the triton is safe they say
Yes but it was their 97th attempt ....96 times it successfully attempted and 14 times successful to reach titanic with that titan toy but triton toy seems like a car i bet it can go that down lol@@Thefry399
I’d own a yacht just so I could own one of these subs.
They name the sub again with a moon name like titan.
Every hyper yacht owner “gimme gimme gimme”.
A gente até já sabe como vai terminar 🥺
this time it’s not gonna implode I think it’s safer
Titan aren't Oceangate
Ocean is that you trying trick us?
Do I dare to ask about the price?
The answer to what the price is is a "come into my office" kind of thing.
Don't pull a ocean gate
Ocean gate 2.0
sei lá com um vidro desse tamanho não deixa o submarino mais vulnerável? E a quantidade de oxigênio de emergência deveria ser muito maior
Open na noor 😢 As much as it is safe, always think on poor Titanic explorers...❤
Still dreaming of life underwater in a giant glass shell. Subnautica here I come.
Oh I get it, the design is a sideways tube! More viewable surface area without compromising the standard reliable structural design.
They should have learned from the Titan sub accident. They need much longer than 96 hours of emergency oxygen. A rescue operation usually takes much longer than you expect. Considering weight/size is not so much of a concern for a sub, they should have 1 month of reserve oxygen at the very least. Just look at all the famous submarine accidents: They all took a long time to get rescure ships to the area. A specialized rescue ship might take several weeks to cross an ocean to get to you. What if the sub gets entangled in an old fishing net or something else at the sea floor?
When diving operations are done by a responsible owner/operator and according to set safety standards, they must have either a rescue asset on board or have one that can reach the area of operation within 24-36 hrs. There are many other safety features that are also built in.
@@davestott4541 And if anything fails with that asset, then what?
Is it possible sometime in the future, we'll have triton Sub with dayhead
Submersible sofa
amazing!
Ah yes, the two submersible options: . Perfectly safe, but costs ten million dollars . Affordable, but implodes
Beautiful new design. But perhaps a bit too much, "we are safe and we design like engineers not like those other crazies in the news," disclaimers. I get why the need was there to say something about safety, but it was a bit too much. Also Triton, I think there is a typo as I write this in your title. It says, Introduction the Triton... Don't you think it should say, Introducing the Triton... ?
Top
I believe that perfect safety record has not held up. Great subs. All subs are dangerous. I want one or two 😂
Pro tip: do not use Carbon Fiber as your pressure chamber.
Quanto custa um desse?
Today I got one more dream in life, it's too dive on one of Triton subs.
I'm concerned that someone thought it would be alright to have this high volume mix of baselines while they're explaining the workings of this sub. Like what about the main questions people should be asking are what are the back up systems?, like what happens when it loses power, air scrubber stops working
Jenn is the Boy Toy I want, LOL
Amazing courage and resilience from all.
These machines are beautiful. I hope the next full-ocean-depth capable submersible has an acrylic bubble - I've heard it might, but I've also heard conflicting reports.
Our goal has always been to build a transparent pressure hull equipped submersible capable of diving to full ocean depth. Currently we are working on a design that is made out of glass, which comes with many challenges that we are trying to solve :)
Very cool. Music way to load though
Someone should rent these out for us poor people 😂
Hopefully in the near future we will be able to give everyone a chance to ride in one👍
@@TritonSubs really do appreciate the videos though! It gives us a window! The ocean is awesome!
It’s my life goal to obtain one of these and explore the ocean 🌎 only a few million left to save!
Definitely one of the best inventions ever!
make a search for treasure at the bottom of the sea ❤️
I´d like Cousteau could have one of these, today! Those documentaries of his woul be even more amazing!
How do I find the prices of your submarines? Whats the cheapest option available?
We don't have our prices listed anywhere at the moment because they do tend to vary depending on specs and other variables. Our "Cheapest" sub is our 660/2SPII (Depth in ft/person capacity) which starts at $2.5 M.
@@TritonSubs Ah! Thanks for the response.
There's a real beauty to this kind of engineering.
