Gorleston ILB launched to a vessel on Breydon Water with a suspected engine fire. The vessel had 7 people on board including 5 children. Whilst making best speed to the scene, another cruiser assisted and took the vessel under tow. The fire, which was just smoke from oil on the engine had subsided as the vessel stopped its engine. Great Yarmouth & Gorleston ILB was launched in the early hours of the morning to a person in the water in the River Yare. The casualty was rescued from the water and taken to an awaiting ambulance to be checked over.

Everytime we holiday on Portland we see the Weymouth Lifeboat out. These men and women are incredible. Real time heroes, all of them.
On August 7 2022 I got stranded on the rocks between Weymouth and Osmington through my own stupidly these great guys come and got me off I apologised profusely for what they did they said don't worry about it's what we're here for without hesitation I went to there base and made a donation
