My Stem Cell Transplant | DAY -2 | You Don't Always Have To Meet Others Expectations
มุมมอง 2133 ปีที่แล้ว
Hi everyone! This video was from day -2 out from my transplant in October 2019. I had been feeling super tried from all the chemo but thought of this topic about the pressure we put on ourselves to meet others expectations that probably aren't real expectations anyways. I always remind my patients that people are so preoccupied in their own lives that they don't care about you as much you think...
My Stem Cell Transplant | DAY -4 | How Mindfulness Helps Me Through Difficult Circumstances

Day -4: update on my last radiation treatment (check out that tan), and preparing for chemo treatment. I've been asked how I manage to keep a positive attitude during challenging experiences like this. The answer is mindfulness. When you practice being mindful and aware, you start to notice an inherent human pattern: everything comes and goes. Nothing good lasts forever, and nothing bad lasts f...

My hair looks like a straight bush. The worst 😢
We just buzzed my hair last Sunday as it was all falling out. I’m happy wearing my hats, scarves and a wig.
Thank you - this was very helpful, and I could have done a "Like" for every one of the other comments. Plain speak like this is so very helpful for someone in the "fuzzies" stage!!!
my ex and I decided to break up 2 days ago. It sucks because I just moved into a new career (trucking) and I’m out on the road for long periods of time and it feels so weird not having her to speak to on a daily basis
Thank you 💜
I want to talk to you maam
We miss your informative posts. Hope you are doing well, Doc 🙏🏼💙
Pantene products helped me
It took my hair 2 yrs to get to shoulder..also I had straight natural blonde hair…now I have this ugly wavy curly brown hair..it’s uncontrollable….but glad I have some 😊
prayer: - health wealth love - deeper closer healthier connections with those whom I love... - healing, on every level, in every way, for all of us - to be radically honest, with everyone, about everything - financial freedom - twin-flame reunion - a tribe of real friends - for all of us to thrive off our talents and passions... - blissful magical wonderous joy, always, in all ways...
Are you ok?
Throw yourself into each endeavor. Body and soul.
My hair is growing straight. I have naturally curly, but I had been Brazilian straightening my hair for years prior to chemotherapy. I think it's almost time for my first haircut, but I have no idea what to do.
Hope you're well Elana! Miss your videos!
Thank you mam for your suggestions!❤
Wow. Its good to hear you. Thank you. Yes it help me to go over trauma and no worry. Life bug and small. Yes I'm too. I was I car accident. Coma. Pain in south Africa. And no thought I only start again.... more slowly. Better. ❤❤
I have bad dreams about what I fear almost every night
Thank you , this helped!
Thank you for the information. It really helped to understand my girlfriends dreams.
Thank you for the helpful information regarding a bob! I wish you the very best!
Thank you so much for your video. I am 10 months post chemo, my hair is so curly on the bottom but straighter wavy on the crown and top of my head. The only way my hair looks some what normal is using an organic gel with Rosemary and biotin. then it stays in place. When I wake up its sticking up like an Afro. I have to wet my hair and comb to get it to calm down. Before chemo, I had fine straight wavy hair. The crown still has not filled in as thick. I am taking biotin. I have not gotten a hair cut yet, I am waiting. I did color it. I was concerned, but I have a lot of baby hairs growing. I hope it fills in thickly so I can’t see bold spots. Its a bit insane, but I am grateful to have my hair growing back!
You look so fantastic with your pixie hair - love it!

Your channel is very underrated I'm 2 weeks into breakup, it's just sucks that it comes and goes in waves, because you think 'oh I'm actually feel alright now, gotta live my life' until you suddenly don't, and some powerful thoughts that felt like revelation that gonna help you, just don't give you anything anymore. I am now at anger phase, fluctuating to sadness. No doubts I will endure, yet feeling little nervous if we gonna meet soon.
Ykw you'll get through this. 💙
Very good information
my hair fell out this week. i feel like a cucumber. i guess its my eyebrows i miss most. being a man i look a bit funny if i draw them on. but i feel i look constantly surprised. will my hair start to come back while still getting treatment or after? dont have much support..... my doctor tells me to isolate and shield from others due to covid. he is a bit patronizing .he said it would come back when it comes back!🙄 chemo is a bitch! i knew it was going to be hard. but DAMN.its hard.
Hw are you today?, hope all is well 🙏
@@tigsouth9036 hello Yes I'm well today. Very well actually. Cancer is in remission.. and I have a full head of hair again.. goodness reading back what I wrote. It was the hardest time in my life. I hope you are well. ❤️
@@nobody764-j9n going through it now, your comment gives me hope, 🙏 thank you
@@tigsouth9036 no worries friend. Take care and much ❤️
Eyebrows are just starting to come back at 2 to 3 months after last treatment. Eyelashes are just beginning.
Thanks!
My hair came back wavy and thicker than it was before. I always had very straight hair. It took 8 months until i got it cut to start shaping it up. I also took Biotin for my hair nails and skin.
Was it just biotin or did you take a "Hair, Skin & Nails" B-complex product?
@@dross24MA I just took Biotin.
thanks so much for this information Elana!
