This is mind blowing. First, the presenter had to be holding an SM7 looking ridiculous, couldn't even bother to grab a mic stand or - even better - some sort of headset or lav mic, but the icing on the cake are the claims of audio excellence while the SM7 has plosives all over the speech. Lastly, and most importantly, remote mixing without being in the room and accounting for the PA/Room interaction is a recipe for disaster! Don't fall for this, hire a proper audio engineer people!

What time averaging do you guys use with A weighting for SPL measurements? I know that can greatly affect the numbers you measure, but I’ve struggled to find good info on what time to go by. Lots of people talk about mixing for 90, or 92 dB A, but it’s hard to figure out what time average they’re using.

19:00 this whole section i can relate, i've been getting to the point where i dont have to eq as much as i use to to get the sound i want, mostly with vocals, i would over eq and things sounded fine, but not natural, then i started to learn to do less, and im understaning that i dont always have to touch stuff.
