I don't agree that feminists "should" fight for anyone's rights but their own. Females in patriarchy are *always* told that their problems are less important than others'. While it's true that many feminists do support animal rights, the point of feminism is empowering *women* (which doesn't mean just changing laws, because laws do not determine human behavior). Many feminist groups dilute their efforts by fighting for anyone and everyone but themselves, while other advocacy groups hardly ever support feminism. Most people would agree that animals and children deserve humane treatment, but somehow women never seem to matter because "they're grownups and can take care of themselves". So let's do it then. If you are a feminist and you also want to support animal rights, that's great. However, feminist groups should not be focused on fighting for the rights of other groups. Feminist groups should focus on feminism. If and when women are ever truly free, the world will be a more compassionate place for all species affected by humans because women in general are compassionate. In the meantime, I hope that feminists will support animal rights while continuing to unapologetically fight for themselves. TLDR: Animals are being tortured all over the world. Among the most tortured, and definitely the most degraded, are womyn.

So funny to go back an rewatch this. I really enjoyed my time at CARE last year! It looks like you were able to fix the pfd/slideshow, however at around 12 minutes and for the rest of the video the sound is kind of messed up.
