The Copper wire incident
Copper wire must have come off someone's vehicle and ended up tangled around my bike. Somehow it stayed out of everything and was easily removed.

Just got the helmet and im having issues with getting the video to save to my microsd... Could you make a tutorial video on how you get it to work?
is the auto choke on?
No choke as it's EFI, but yeah, would have been running rich as it was cold at the time.
@@aussiemotomatt oh ok. i used to have a 900 hornet, efi with choke. sadly that bikes moved on. my v strom thou has an auto choke from cold doesnt get to idle till 2 bars on temp guage, 3 bars is normal operating temp. stay upright🍻
Those the 18" slip on's?
They are, yes. To be exact, they're these ones: delkevic.com.au/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=81394
@@aussiemotomatt thank you......the sound is great!
Thanks for the review, however, there’s a noise like screaming goat , I heard it twice , u want check that?
That is terrifying knowing that 1000's of feet of that wire is still connected on the other end as cars whiz on by over it. One bad hook and that could have been for a Final Destination kind of finish.
Yeah, that's what I was waiting for. Especially when I realised it was around or over my right leg. Somehow everything just stayed exactly where it needed to
He just throws it back down on the ground for the next bike to tangle in lol Is it worse to have to go through it, or is it worse to go through it and then leave it a hazard for the next person?
It was on the hard shoulder in a pile. What you can't see is the 100's of meter of wire all over the road still. I did attempt to see if traffic would slow down so I could pick up. The drivers who had lost the load were already on their way back to collect the rest
I had a 2019 mt09 at one time loved the bike.If that would have happened i would have gone Berserk !
Yeah, that's sketchy.
Wow glad you are okay brother please be safe out there ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
when i was like 10 me and my brother were racing our bikes and he ran into a copper line that was used to hang a sign that was removed. it almost killed him, about a cm deep cut across his thought it looked like his neck had been slit, we were never able to find the property owners and we couldn't never was able to sue or anything. scarry shit
glad your ok . that could have been really bad
Well That's a realy nice bike can someone tell me what type it is ?? a Yahama.......? Guess you got lucky it could have gone way worse #GoedWerk #NL
Yamaha MT09 - Tacer. Could have ended up a lot worse mate.
@@aussiemotomatt you got that right Be safe & have fun and Thx for the info
Bro was so close to a mortal kombat fatality 💀
Your so lucky it didnt get wrapped round a car while you were handling it
Kind of him though to leave it there on the hard shoulder for someone else.
I would have loved to get it all off the road. But Aussie drivers weren't really interested in slowing down to let me get of the road......
Well managed
Fark that bro
Yeah, it wasn't ideal. Someone it didn't wrap itself around everything
I find the lip on the drop down visor annoying. I prefer to lower the visor that I look under it, not through it and the lip is a problem for me.
I've got a 2006 and love it. Does your bosses have abs? Its a great edition, but many don't have the optional extra.
To be honest mate, I'm not sure. Was a while ago that I took that for a test ride. Hell of a bike though. Good to hear you're loving yours. Keep it upright
@@aussiemotomatt thanks mate, that's definitely the plan 👍
dude mention he got into a accident and design this helmet , and it got only a camera and speaker ,lol
And notifications.. and navigation... and delivered in a way that isn't' "distracting" And the more you ride with it, the more "natural" it becomes. Kinda hard to explain. That.. And being notified about police on your daily commute or Sunday ride is handy. Just curious what you would do to "improve" helmet design?
thanks for posting mate.
fuck me dead you followed that pink Yaris longer than the Lord Of The Rings Trilogy!
Bwahahaha. Unfortunately cops were everywhere that day making it hard to get past without risking a nice little fine....
you need a quicker bike ;-)
You need a bike.... :/
where were the wheelies?
I don't see how you can offer a valid opinion on something you've never ridden. You passed one Spyder on the road and you've become an expert. Amazing.
Greg, never claimed to be an expert and I ride roughly 600Km minimum every week in peak hour traffic. I simply made asked if there was a legitimate argument to why you would buy one other than what I said in my video.
Don't stop AussieMotoMatt!
The audio has the hussling touching microphone sound making the video hard to watch. But thanks for the review
Thanks hks071. I did notice that as well. The camera/audio part of the helmet does sit very close and if you have a beard or haven't shaved for a few days.. probably enough to touch and get picked up by the mic.
To learn more about Can-Am and their history with motorcycles, check this out th-cam.com/video/g2Mu0jcPIUY/w-d-xo.html
Hi Matt, it is not a motorcycle. It is a "Powersports vehicle". So comparing it to a motorcycle is probably not a great idea. It is just that Australian design regs and licensing laws are very inflexible around how it fits into their system. As for Can-Am and motorcycles, they were the world champions in dirt bikes in the 70s. The reason they stopped making them was they were too powerful for the weight. The bike ended up being 6 the widow maker. They did have one successful year where they won the world championships for dirt bikes. As for the Spyder, each to their own. I ride one because I can't ride something else after a road accident (not on a motorcycle). Yeah, I can't lane filter, but then again, there is stuff all traffic where I ride. It would be nice, but hey, you can't have it all. I would however recommend you go and jump on an F3S Spyder. Ride it gently for a while to get used to the feel as it is very opposite of riding a motorcycle. Once you get a feel for it, give it a good wrench of the throttle and see if your opinion changes. You will be pleasantly surprised with the torque of the 3 cylinder, 1330cc, rotax engine. Go on, give it a try. You can't bag the thing without having a crack. Try JSW at the Gold Coast as your nearest dealer. Make sure you have your camera and audio on. Oh, and you are never stuck in traffic, you are traffic 😀
Spyder - Thanks for the comment mate. Didn't realise they're were 1300cc, that's impressive. In your case, I think the machine is perfect for you, and if something were to happen to me, I'd be working out some way to continue riding and the spyder is one of those options. And.. never knew it was considered a "powersports vehicle", but for Australian regs... It's a motorbike. I will ride and review one day, just need to find someone willing to let me on one for a few hours. Thanks again for the feedback.
It's a tricycle...
Random sheep at 5 min mark, WTF? The premium liner ain't that premium either...
Nice footage from the Forcite mate. You must have been quite moist!
Very!
a four door Prius running A/C gets better mileage though
Sounds great! I once had an ST and installed a Two Brothers pipe. The video likely doesn’t do it justice. I recently picked up an ST again and discovered TB no longer makes a pipe for it. This one looks great. Could you tell me which length Delkevic this is.
Sadly sold my 04 ST years ago and had a set of TBR Pipes on her. Beautiful note but definitely not neighbour friendly. Soooooo, having just picked up another this week I'm on the prowl for another set. These are looking the goods seeing Staintune are not making them any more. 😔
Do you run with or without the baffles? Curious your preference. I've just received mine and waiting for crappy weather to install but curious your thoughts.
Sean, without. They're not overly loud. Just enough to give some punch rather than sounding like a sewing machine.
@@aussiemotomatt many tks - just what I was hoping for! Waiting for crap weather to install. Cheers.
Very useful review, thank you.
Nice
WHAT?!? (btw I'm back in Aus in November for a couple of days, have to do a ride.)
Shot, bit harsh...
My is 2015 areo 750. Bought new in 2017 for 5200.00. I have put every mile since it arrived a dealer. Currently have 9400 miles. First replace seat, find one that fits you. I used air cushions for awhile, better than stock. My experience, over 50 years riding all over the world, 10 years in Italy. Know near 70 and wanted less maintenance and more relax ride. Great ride will cruise at 70 mph with no problem and more stable than my Harley 1200c. I put a bat wing, 6 inch windshield, Highway bars, foot pegs, camera, usb charger, phone mount, soft saddle bags, and changed horn. For me it great for around town or a cruise. I am about 5 10 and about 230, fits great. Good value. Don
Don, awesome to read you're loving the ride and still in the saddle at 70. I can only hope that I'm still riding at 70. Keep it upright :)
Why don't people stop and talk about their bike, that way we can see the bike and not have to try to decipher what you're saying though all that wind.
Joe - thanks for your feedback. I didn't "stop and talk" about my bike because that's not the content that I wanted to create. I just re-watched this video and had no issues "Deciphering" what I said.
Years ago I bought a VT750CD new, put over 90k miles (150k KM) before selling it. During that time I used it for commuting and 5 coast to coast USA road trips. The only mechanical issue was a voltage regulator. It's a Honda! Yes, regular maintenance a few tires, chains and sprockets as they wore out, but otherwise just push the start button and it went. I did get tired of dealing with chains so after the 2nd one I converted it over to belt. This also took care of the gearing issue. Fast forward a decade and I just bought a used 07 VT750CA with under 8k KM... Shaft drive... Woo Hoo! Other than wishing for that 6th gear once again I love it! I'm not a big guy, and I'm riding solo so it's adequate power moves me along the road. Again it's a Honda so as long as I'm cruising easy I get upwards of 75mpg (Sorry don't know the conversion either) 60mpg if I'm keeping up with USA highway traffic. Being an old school curmudgeon I don't want ABS or EFI... I find rebuilding carbs therapeutic... and I trust my brakes to metal parts... a computer- not so much! Now that I think of it why am I watching TH-cam videos when I can go out and ride?
I just got a 2015 street triple lams omg its amazing...it passes cars with ease...its so comfy to cruise on its just the BEST bike ...thousands of pro's very few cons just small things..top vid mate..
Bryan - Thanks for the comment. Yes, I loved my Street Triple, but it has now been sold :( I had to buy something that was more appropriate to have the Mrs on-board. Awesome to hear you're loving the Triple though. Wait until you get to upgrade to the full 675 :)
Hi an older biker here age 65. I am riding a Hyosung GV250 EI Aquila at the moment. It is a V twin cruiser and about the same size and shape as this Honda VT750 but1 inch shorter. My motorcycle has electronic fuel injection, with it's few problems, in that it can not be idled down and so it idles a 1300 RPM even when it reaches its maximum engine temperature and the fuel pump in the petrol tank is VERY noisy ALL the time. The Hyosung runs perfectly all the time but I want a motorcycle that has a nice idle and have been told that I will have to go back to a carby motorcycle if I want a lower idle. It is now the 02.07.18 in Australia where you live as well and before Christmas this year I want to buy one of these Honda VT750 cruisers for the summer season. You said that the motorcycle is not good for over 100KPH as it vibrates. My Hyosung GV250 will go at 110KMPH on the highways and even with this small motor I have absolutely no vibrations at this speed. I am selling the Hyosung because the Honda is a much better quality motorcycle. Most of the Hyosung is made of plastic which is painted or chrome painted some how. The important pieces are metal, engine, frame forks etc, but most every thing else is plastic, this and the fuel injection I do not like. I never go over 110KMPH but as I tour some times I am hoping that the Honda will go better than my Hyosung 250 and that I can go on the highway at 110KMPH for extended periods of riding if I want.
The Honda is a much better built bike, but the VT750 is built to a budget. A lot of the "Chrome" is plastic with a chrome finish. (This is only trimmings, all the important stuff is well made). As drug jozo has said, getting a better saddle/seat will make the world of difference. In my personal opinion, the bike needs a 6th gear to bring down the revs at high speeds. You will feel some vibration through the bars and pegs at over 100km/h. Just 1 or 200 less RPM would make this bike just that much better. I think you'll love the move from a Hyosung to the Honda. Thanks for watching.
Thank you for the reply. I have a Air Hawk seat cushion on my Hyosung and it is very comfortable. My Hyosung has a tacho and it reads 7000 RPM at 110 KPH. The cylinders are a wider V than the Honda and this may be why I do not get much vibration at such high revs. I will as you say be much happier with a Honda 750 than with my Hyosung 250. Once again thank you for your video and your reply to me.
There is one thing I disagree with you. This bike is capable for long distance trips. But you must replace stock seat, get a mustang, it makes a world of difference. I believe this is the thing for any other bike. I had two 10k or more trips. I was solo + 30 kilos of gear loaded. I avoided highways because highway is not place to be if you want to experience the country that you ride in. If you take back roads, cover around 400 km per day average, take your time, smell the air, then this bike is great. But great video, all points covered.
Yeah, it's great for a few hours before the stock saddle gets a little... well.. not nice. But, 6th gear and a nice after market saddle would fix that :) Thanks for watching.
Perfect bike, Have it for 2 years and 30k, I love it.But as you sad, needs 6th gear.
Difficult to watch, in America your driving on the wrong side of the road
Recently bought a 2001 model ACE edition. A few hours north of you mate. Stay upright.
I've got a 2008 Sprint & it's got 180,000kms on the clock without anyissues which is moe than most bikes in it's class
Mate, I have a 2013 model shaft drive, EFI. Used it most of the time in M5 freeways here in NSW, 110 kph is in relax mode. I love it.
E. Moral, I'm glad you love your bike. As I said in my review, it wasn't a bad bike, just for me it felt a bit "Buzzy" over 90km/h. Just felt like it needed a 6th gear to fix the issue.
AussieMotoMatt I totally agree with you that need it a 6th gear then it would be more enjoyable.
The seat gets warm...lol. I liked that. My VFR800 was the same way. I called it poor man's heated seat...lol. Nothing wrong with that though on long rides it keeps the circulating in the butt going smooth. If anything, this bike is a VFR800 with balls. They're both porky bikes but they're fun to ride.
