In this video I'm upgrading the speakers on my Gen 1 Honda CRV. I show you step by step on how to remove the speakers on one side of the vehicle. How to remove and replace cabin air filter on Gen 1 Honda CRV
มุมมอง 762 หลายเดือนก่อน
In this video I show you step by step on how to remove and replace a cabin filter on a Gen 1 Honda CRV. I did forget to install the cabin filter plastic frame so don’t forget that but I will be reinstalling in the future. This job would have been a lot easier with ratcheting wrenches or an e ratchet due to the right spaces. #crv #honda #mechanic #diy #carrepair #howto

I bought a used 1998 Honda CRV, vehicle is in rough shape and will need a lot of rebuilding to get it reliable and comfortable. I bought it on Facebook marketplace for $2300. would this work for a 2003 cr-v?
@@finnabepasttense2085 it looks like it does just a little different. If I had a gen 2 I would show you but I found this video of a gen 2 key fob program for crv. th-cam.com/video/c6IV5CYsIKM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=LxM9Pkv8CWqcSTNI
Basic
@@NigelMahabir-x4o yes basic but reliable! Can’t go wrong with a pioneer!
Very good! Is that a crv?
@@chadchaddchadddthank you! Yes it’s a gen 1 Honda CRV

Unbolt the buckle
@@zues34blue cutting the cable would be easier!
Until they cut the seat belt.
@@wetwet5058 yea but now they have to cut it
It's a good deterant but you can easily saw thru a steering wheel and bend it enough to get the cable off. The steering wheel is not that tough.
@@vwstealth yea definitely! It’s going to slow them down a little bit but won’t fully prevent them from stealing
use silicone spray
@@2k_ I kinda like this better silicon spray leaves a dry residue and this was recommended to me by a Honda mechanic.
Babe wake up!! JVActivity posted 🤭
@@angelsegura6721 love the excitement ❤️
It's chinese let it get stolen, then get yourself a real grom.😂
@@JGREEZZY one day but for right now Chonda will do! 😂
If you have a car somebody wants, they are cutting that thing in 2 seconds. If you don’t have what they want, they won’t take it anyways.
@@jamiel9902 yeah true this isn’t completely going to prevent someone from stealing this lessens the chances. If they don’t have anything to cut it with then they’ll have to come back with something or not come back at all. But if they have to cut something to steal something rather than just stealing it than it’s gonna take them more time and effort.
A crackhead always finds a way
Who’s going to steal a Honda? They always steal anything worth stealing 😂
@@asasquatchwithinternet6846 you’d be surprised man I’ve had a 95 Saturn stolen from me. But used as a joyride not for profit
Bro they can cut your steering weel with bolt cutters and slide it off
@@Izzyek yes most definitely but now they have to cut something instead of not having to cut anything and stealing it
The steering wheel is very easily cut my boi
Just apply a hidden battery or starter switch works fine for for any car
Just have insurance
🗑️ i got bolt cutters 😂😂😂😂
What does the Sawzall say?
@@claypaul2012 low battery
@@ShiftNFix you don't need much battery life when it only takes 3 seconds
@@claypaul2012 yeah you right lol I’m jk
I'll just install electricution straps that come from behind the seat, like that commercial scene from the original Robocop movie 🤟😈🤟
The stick shift alone will deter
@@Trini-Rich most definitely will lol
Them yns finna put a new steering wheel instead
That's one bolt to remove the seat belt buckle.
@@TrueDreams yeah but then you got to bring a tool set and find the correct socket now you got a whole buckle swinging off the steering wheel
@@ShiftNFix cordless zip cut / sawzall and done. 😎. Relay kill switch
@@TrueDreams that’s next on the list 😌
It’s a manual it’s already anti theft lol
Haha true 😂
The 5 speed alone is a good theft deterrent
Most definitely 😅
Yeah, They just put it in neutral and roll it down the road. Most of the time they’re stripping it for parts.
Just take the staring wheel with you like mr bean
or they’ll just cut the wires
It’ll take 30secs to cut the seat belt with snips and 60secs with bolt cutters if it’s anchored down which most thieves use
Might be enough time for you to introduce them to the second amendment.
@ problem is I’m “STEALING” so Ik your coming n I have mine as well champ 😇
@@robeofdeath well champ you may have forgotten that I’m in my home, where I can be at any window, knowing where you’re at already because of my security cameras, so I’d say the odds are in my favor.
A nice Dewalt saw will take that right off.😂

But I mean, really I was gonna really wanna steal a Honda Odyssey, especially the old one
1 bolt undoes the base of the seat belt
@@johngraham4951 yea if you got time to look for the correct socket when stealing a car
You are safe its a manual 😂 but yea this wont work if they really want the car. They would just cut the steering wheel
Get a column lock
No one’s gonna steal your Honda civic I promise 😅😅😅😅😅
@@bobbuilder-wo9tv it’s a CRV but aye man you never know 🥲
That's why they sell bolt cutters
Anyone with a knife would cut the seat belt
It's manual, automatically an anti theft system 😂😂😂😂 , also no one would really want to steal an old car !!!!
@@samechfar4536 very true but you never know rather be safe than sorry!
I think the transmission more effective than that wire I can snip in not even a second with sheers just saying lol
You have a manual transmission...thats anti theft from the factory in this age 😂
I think it being not automatic it would be more harder to steal then this crap 2 seconds with bolt cutters and that defeded
Yea I agree but it’ll slow them down just a bit
Like others have said this is only a small delay. Sawzall to the steering wheel and that cable is now securing nothing but the seat belt latch. Maybe this will drive them nuts with the constant seat belt warning! 😂
That cable ain't stopping bolt cutters
@@craigcostello9101 only if they have them!
Why are you even wasting time trying to cut the cable?
That’s just like the old club theft device . They remove steering wheel that they bring along.
Also having a 25 year old piece of crap Honda should stop it from being stolen also.
@@miked3382 you would hope so lol
It will slow them down good addition bit of security
@@johnnyschannel775 yea that’s all we could do!
You already have an anti-theft device. A manual car.
@@danielmoser4277 haha you right! Nothing wrong with extra protection!
bolt cutters will do the job, if they want it they will fine the ways!
