Time Machine #003 Multi Limit Togs
11/07/2020
Episode #003 is the days where getting a multi limit was a pretty common and catching 19" was pretty frequent case too. There were occasional 20"+ Togs mixed in too which is almost impossible to get nowadays, even 19" are hard to come by now.
There were lot more keepers were caught this day but showing only ones I recorded.
00:00 Some days, you have to deal with nonstop seaweed.
00:15 And then, more.
00:56 Some nice splash mixed in between.
01:10 Sometimes Seaweed and splash mixed in.
01:36 17" Tog.
03:02 19" Tog.
05:01 17.5" Tog.
06:33 16" Tog featuring Joe. You asked for it so here you are showing for the 2nd time.
07:49 15.75" Tog.
08:36 Almondo coming back after almost getting wiped by the wave.
09:06 Almondo also brought the waves with him too.

12/07/24 Let's begin stating this was another skunk day and the end of the Fall Run series. Again, it's like a switch turned off right after Thanksgiving Day for me and not catching anything since. Overall, it was a good year for Striper but not a great Fall Run. Still enjoyed the day out seeing the ocean and hearing the sound of the wave. I got to have a short chat with other Surfcasters which...
Time Machine #002 Snag Game
มุมมอง 181หลายเดือนก่อน
09/19/21 The joy of bottom fishing mixed with rougher condition making it snag everywhere. Probably lost 30 sinkers, 30 Hooks, 30 sinker lines, and 30 leaders this day. Still managed a keeper Fluke and Tog. The GoPro lens was covered with salt, so the view isn't great. Got splashed many times and also caught a baby Fluke.

09/04/21 As the Fall Run coming to an end, I started going back to clips I saved over the years. I used to record 12 hours or how many hours I fished continuously instead of how I record now which is Looping Mode. It's a time sinker to watch all and pick what I need but I guess this is good time to do that now. I'll try to go through them to fill the gap till next spring when the next season wi...

12/04/24 2nd skunk day in a row. This day was a very cold day that the lowest registered temp was 19'. It was getting very windy towards the end with 20mph - 30mph SSW wind which made things even colder. Everything was frozen and at one point, you can see the railing had frost on it. I was catching at least 1-2 a day till the last day of the December last year. But this year, it seems everythin...

11/29/24 A Skunk day. Well, the time has come, and this day was a skunk day. I debated if I should post this or not but as Fall Run videos are all the outings of the Fall Run, I decided to post anyway. Fishing isn't always about catching and you will have some days where you won't even get a hit. That's just a part of the game and what you have to do to catch fish. Just more realistic side of f...

11/27/24 Nothing much happened this day. Only one person hooked up very early in the morning which came off. Very slow day overall but adult Bunkers were everywhere. So many that you could have snagged a year worth of adult Bunker if you are one of chunking person. I eventually found trapped adult Bunker in the trough which I figured Stripers should be around it. 11/20/24 Nighttime was crazy with bunkers popping out at the wash and Stripers jumping to get them. I'm surprised I didn't hook up more but ended up hooking 5 and landed 2. 11/06/24 The third outing for Fall Run 2024 and it’s really not happening for me yet. Although I liked little rougher surf than last outing, the whole day was about 15MPH SSW. Long time no see!
Hey! Happy New Year and hope you had a better luck with the Fall Run than me since the Thanksgiving!
@@notablecatchhappy new year! Eh it was ok great blue run in Delaware but at the inlet i fish mostly they started dredging it was a 90 day project so the fishing got screwed up this year I hit nj a few times but i think I caught the back end of it unfortunately oh well can’t wait for spring!
@@Wordupdoe Yup, suffering big time since I can’t fish. Scouted out a couple of fresh water places on Sunday but seems like the place for Musky is frozen solid and only leaves options to look at streams for Trout. I may or may not and just go cold turkey till the Spring.
@@notablecatchwinter blows man I’m going ice fishing with a few of my boys up in the mountains soon hopefully that will be productive
@ Good luck and have fun!
!! 👍💚💚💚💚
Thank you for watching.
Ava ?!
Trust me, it doesn’t show all the lures I threw. 😀 Various soft plastics, metal lip, twitch bait, various top water, various size and color of metal including AVA, various minnow type plugs, bucktail etc. Basically everything I had in my 3 tube with extra pouch for soft plastics. I was going to go out till early Jan. but I might not depending on how this weekend works out. Thanks for watching.
That is a pretty expensive wading staff! 🤔
Hahaha it sure is. But it definitely comes in handy when things get chaotic and makes one less thing to worry about. Other reels, I have to worry about keeping the reel out of the water while getting hit by the waves and trying to land a Striper while trying to avoid hooking myself in the process. I'm just blessed to have a not supporting but very understanding wife. Thank you for watching.
Nice video 👍

Thanks, it's a different kind of good feeling when you think the spot might hold a Striper and you actually hook one from that spot.
Nice job!!
Thank you and thanks for watching!
Where is it ? Thanks in advance
They are running really well right now in lavalette all the way down to brigantine nj
@Wordupdoe appreciate it 🙏
Central Jersey. But like Wordupdoe said, it’s all over the places. They come and go and I’m at same spot now and no one caught anything so far as far as I know. A buddy said he caught a couple little south of me in early morning though. Thanks for watching.
Was down yesterday and on thanksgiving there running well but mixed in with mainly rats dam dude got so sick footage wow
@@516Spark You did better than I did. 👍 I was down Wednesday and Friday. You can see what happened on Wednesday by watching #08 that I just posted. Friday was bad. About 9 hours of casting and not even a tap. Thank you for the compliment and thanks for watching.

I’m not much of a wetland person, actually have bad memory of it. A quick Googlemap kind of shows not much parking spot and enough body of water? Either case, let me do some research and thinking about it. Thanks for watching.

I'll hit the blitz soon or later. Going out again on Wednesday and Saturday, hope to encounter one on either day. Saturday looks bad though with wind possibly stronger than 30mph.
@@notablecatch oh boy haha wind can be a good thing 2 hopefully it works out for you!
Nothing better than that morning bite with a nice sunrise in the background. Tight lines
Agreed. Sometimes, I don't know which is the icing on the cake. Catching fish or the surreal view of the sunrise.

Hey man I was wondering if you could help me out with picking these rods out this is the list of them I think I’ve narrowed it down to Tsunami trophy 2 Penn battalion 2 Okuma rockaway Okuma Solaris I’m keeping the airwave in the back of my head as well I’d just rather find it on sale or something
@@Wordupdoe The ultimate decision is yours. That said, I would pick Trophy 2 for myself if I had to pick out of that. Battalion and Solaris, I’ve never handled it so it’s unknown territory for me. I have 9’ Rockaway and 9’ Rockaway HD. Rockaway, I would use that for multi species. I’ve used it when I was Fluking, Blue, Striper and didn’t want to carry multiple rods. It would do all but won’t excel on anything and definitely not dedicated Blues and Striper rod. Also, reel seat lock is on top, not bottom as usual which sometime I undo just by grabbing it and due to thread, it could irritate your hand. Rockaway HD, it will do but 6 - 8 of that rod I had, lower half of the rod separated on all of them. Bottom half of it is actually 2 pieces and it separated after catching a couple of fish. I can’t really complain about Trophy 2 other than the weight. It’s not heavy but could be lighter and Alconite guide would have been nice. But when you combine those two, it would be much more expensive rod. So for the price, I definitely like Trophy II.
@ thx man!
Sorry u lost the fish. Why did u wrap your hand around the braid like that?
Well, it happens. :) It was too heavy to swing it up and grabbing braid will just slip so I did that in hope of bringing it over the rock which then I can just pull it up. It would have been nice to see how big it was but still happy it swam away heathy. Thanks for watching.
Nice fishing 🎣
Thank you
ive lost 6 lures due to knot failure. 2 of the 6 were superstrikes i know the pain
@@dennyf57 Yup, lost 4 more lures in the Fall Run #01 video. Not sure what’s going on since knot failure started to happen this year. Switched to using swivel for time being till I figure out why.
Good work out ther. New subscriber here. Keep them coming and best of luck to you
Thank you and good luck to you too!
Awesome video, Hardcore conditions! I noticed that in both catches you tried to grab the tail. I think its better to use a gripper....
Yup, you are right! That or grab it by head especially if you are going to keep it. Normally, you wouldn’t have that problem with other fish and I think I was little surprised that 2nd one choked 6” Storm Shad and the condition, I just tried to get it out of there. Live and learn I guess. I also caught 30.75” Striper earlier today so I’ll post that soon too. Thanks for watching.
I also have a quick question for you I just broke my tica dolphin had it for 2 months and they aren’t very helpful with the warranty I’m in the market for a better rod in the $120-$200 do you have any suggestions So far what I’ve come up with are these Tsunami airwave Penn battalion 2 Jigging world shadow (out of budget by $10) Off shore angler power stick I’m leaning more towards the Penn battalion but everyone I ask doesn’t know anything about it
Everyone’s going to have different opinions on this but for me, I would take Tsunami Trophy II 9’ or Airwave 9’ for around $100. For $200 max, I would go Air wave 9’6” which what I’m using in this video. That’s what I use as anything casting on the jetty. Such a versatile rod for the money. Of course, more you spend lighter, more sensitive, casts further etc but come at cost.
If you want to check on action of Trophy II 9’, check my PB Bluefish video from a year or two ago. That’s what I caught it with.
@@notablecatch awesome dude ya I’ll check it out rn

What an awesome day!
It was! I’m also glad many others I know caught one or more that week or two including you buddy!
watching this now, compared to last year it seems like the fall run has slowed down? last week they was all over the place and now nothing ?
Hi there! I think it’s just a matter of time and being right place right time. We are targeting only stripers now and went up north today. Mile or two, maybe longer bunker pods were there pretty much entire time we were there. No birds diving but it was blitzing the entire length of the bunker pods. It was just about 50 yards further than the casting distance. You can literally see stripers jumping in the entire bunker pod. Just hoping to be in that right place right time.

Thank you! You look like you do a lot of Snakehead fishing. It’s one of my bucket list fish to catch!
That’s awesome!!

Beautiful fish. All my life I have wanted to surf fish but all the beaches where I grew up are always crowded with people and hence fishing isn't allowed. My dream fish is catching a large striped bass from a rugged wild coast. That would be an awesome experience.
The beach wasn’t crowded partially because the weather wasn’t good with too much seaweed and the beach wasn’t opened. This will change this weekend and won’t be till late October again. I have yet to catch big Striper, hopely I’ll land 50”+ someday and 15lb+ Bluefish too.
Where is this?
Sorry, no spot burning for me. It is central NJ though. Thank you
@@notablecatch no man I understand. I didn't want the grid coordinates. I'm in Delaware. I got my own beaches to fish.
Thank you for understanding. I used to share the info but stopped after the places I shared the info were over-run by people with no respect for other people and the nature started to ruin the places. I know it won't stop it but my hope is that it will slow down. I haven't been in DE beaches to fish but hope you enjoy fishing there. Maybe I'll fish there some day too.

@@notablecatch wish i can join you guys fishing there, i think it requires permit there
Berry Guam You actually do not. Just register New Jersey Saltwater Recreational Registry Program which is free. However, I believe you need to pay to enter the park and pay the buggy pass if to want to drive to the beach if you go to other side of the inlet. If you decide to walk, I believe you only have to pay to enter the park.
