Hello! I'm currently disassembling the Mini 3 Pro. Quick question: Are you utilizing the hot air tool for both melting the adhesive and for desoldering purposes? Also, when you reassemble the drone, do you apply any kind of adhesive or glue? If adhesive is necessary, could you recommend a type that's suitable for this task?

Where there is a hot glue on hex screw? Is it normal did dji put it there?

Is the rear arms supposed to have bit of up down play whilst in closed position,brand new unflown drone

Would like to see an Arm torn apart. Curious as to what it would take to modify one of DJI's drones. Maybe a new Air 3 with some more aggressive motors. I realize the flight times would be lowered, but with a 45 min max, I think it could be a worthy sacrifice to gain some extra umph... Very interested in the future of UAV tech.

Warning to interested people, this drone is VERY fragile. It's made of plastic, not carbon fiber or anything else strong, and in particular, the landing gear and arm mounts on the body are barely there. Mine fell from about 4 feet up and broke both the landing gear AND the arm mount clean off the body. Add to this expensive repair costs, and this is not a drone you want to crash willy-nilly unless you are willing to fully disassemble it like he does here and rebuild it from the ground up, whenever you have a crash.

Will the camera still operate without the arms installed?

Looks like its very difficult to dismantle this drone.

is the connection of the camera a proprietary part or is it some sort of standardized connection ? would be cool if it was possible to switch it for a different camera core

What's the black sticker on bottom cover ? I disassemble my bottom cover an ripped it of :( It has a metallic surface and now im fear that it was a part of the antenna system

Just a couple of thoughts you potentially leave off some of the body parts and it would be even lighter, also could you not use a hot air gun to make the plastics more malleable. But excellent video.

At 7.40 your using a heat gun, are they soldered on or are you melting glue or something, a close up of them would have been a bonus

I have a mini 3 pro. The gimbal is making a whining noise as soon as it connects with the transmitter, and does not stop until I power it off. If you tilt the aircraft completely vertically up or down, the noise stops, and if you gently lift upwards on the bottom of the gimbal, it also stops. Someone please help me :(

Need better lighting and to get the camera closer to the drone, it's hard to see the tiny components (on my phone at least). Very helpful video to find out where the GPS unit is so I can make sure to place the anti collision light as far away from it as I can.

WOW repairing that drone isn't easy to work on for sure vs the other Mini's they sure packed this drone and I certainly don't like where they stuck the ESC Board for the wires and things... Geesh like a car they sure know how to pack that baby. Still wondering how they kept it under 249g... Ugg having to tear apart the whole drone just to replace a drone arm, that's not fun!!

Thank you on your video . I crashed it first day and gimbal stoped to work ,no rotation and up and down moving. I disconect the gimbal from board and conected again and sudenly start to work again .Thanks .

Now I'd love to see the best way of putting back in the rubber shock absorbers of the gimbal. My gimbal came loose from one of them, so I removed the rubber from the body to reconnect it to the gimbal. However, now it proves to be very difficult to get its three tongues back into their slots. Any suggestions on how to do that?

Hey :) it would have been great if you had said what kind of screw heads each screw is. I thought I had read that the torx screws are T5 and bought a T5 screw driver but it doesn’t fit 😭
