Looking back at this video it’s ok if my favorites you did, would Lore and Word NA been a good choice as well?
Perhaps I don't see it, is there a decklist somewhere attached to this video?
This vodeo feels so old youtube but was only released 3 years ago nice vid
Just opened a box of Rules of Acquisition last week and I’m working on how to build a Ferengi deck. Thanks for the thoughts, it is nice that they seem to be versatile.
Ferengi decks can be a lot of fun!
Or you defend the player on your left and you attack the player on your right
What is your Star Trek Facebook group???
I've seen those cards bankrupt a player, forcing their properties into auction, which is a mess compared to your opponent breaking on your properties. I've even seen a $15 tax break a player. Rare, but it happens. If all 4 railroads are owned, that can be a $400 hit, so they are nothing to scoff at.
Warhammer 40'000k? xD
My group got tired of 45 minutes to get a ship and crew out, so we came up with this: everybody gets one ship and its staffing numbers crew. If Q's tent deck was out (which it usually was, to help streamline the game), you could draw a random card every other turn in place of your end of turn card draw. Games were long and fun w/o anybody trying to decimate each other. I play the solitare game now, but I always think of my friends. Here's to you, lads.
How come it took 45 minutes to get a ship and crew out? Did the decks involved have several copies of Red Alert to help facilitate?
@@jayman105 yes we had red alert cards. And I meant roughly 45 minutes all around the table/affiliations getting rares in play. Some of us pulled what we needed to staff before the rest. Some of the draw decks were kinda big, which works against the player. The no limit draw deck size from the First Contact rules might've been the culprit. 🙃
I Still Love This Game! Now playing it in solitare mode but I'm playing! Yes the Borg Ship dilemma nobody wants to see (especially premiere decks), but one of my old group came up with a diabliocal tactic: Since it does classify as a ship, it can be stopped by Q net event cards. We all tried to kill that event, but he was armed to the teeth at protecting it. Some of us survived the 2nd trip down the space line and attacked it, roughly splitting the points-IF we even cared at that point.
I bulit a Borg deck and played it w/2 of my group. They didn't get why it was such a brick wall, and we usually played semi-politely. In desperation, they tried to use Spock, some other character I don't remember and a phaser rifle to kill my Borg Queen...and used the Transport Gateway card as if it would bring them to the Borg outpost spaceline. I saw how snarky they were, so I let 'em slide. Closed a different game w/ my Cardassian deck down in about 20 minutes. I waited for a crew to explore the wormhole, then closed the doorway and flipped the station. As a goof. We had more good times than bad...and I wish I could sit down for one last game.
Love it, was like opening a couple of starter decks! I finally got my "Monopoly deck" (plenty of choices for a couple of games) where I want it...but now no one to sit down with. Hoping against hope this changes.
That’s a very cool pirate ship!!
Thank you! :)
I opened up a few boxes of trouble with tribbles got a few copies of Keras and the Centurion and the old original series romulan warbird. Keras(sarek actor in the movies and tng) looks like the one of the strongest romulan leaders in the game...although i am still a noob.😊
I miss playing this game. Most of my friends I'd sit down with passed away. Still got a dream deck made w/a "Monopoly" approach. That is to say, I'd bring a bunch of cards to swap out. We only had 2 house rules, and they were to speed along the game. 1) any ship w/up to 4 personnel; 2) once a Q's tent doorway was on the pile, you had to shuffle the cards then pick one. And stopped for the rest of the turn. Once I'd finally built my DS9 deck and had the station locations open, I mentioned something about no Borg activity during the show's run. One of the group slapped down a rogue borg mercs card on the Promenade as a goof. Just one, and didn't work cos it wasn't on a ship. Funny as hell.
I could never figure out what the Kazon were supposed to do. Decipher did a great job of using Objectives, Incidents, and equipment to signpost the Hirogen, Vidiians, and Borg game plans, and Feds were always great at solving missions. It felt like they wanted you to set up a big Death Star Kazon Warship with Boarding Party and some Maje-based free reporting, but then your prey turned out to be Borg Cubes, Vidiians with Boarding Claws + Organ Theft, and Hirogens and they usually tore you apart by being slightly better at the same raider-shtick.
I once built a Kazon deck and called it my 'Kazon SuperPest Deck'. I'd use four Kazon Raiders (wasn't interested in the big ship), and have the simplest missions to achieve. Also didn't hurt to use Delta Quadrant NA personnel/ships as well.
@jayman105 Yeah, the raiders were strangely powerful (I think they were almost a Galaxy-class but with one staffing icon) and the generic Outpost let you download The Kazon Collective, so the tentpole Warship strategy seemed pretty pointless.
This is pretty cool, I built a 4 x 6 platform. Used a sheet of foam and then spray foam to make my countryside. And then plaster to make the base for the track. I got everything perfectly mounted and hooked together. But I still have yet to get the power to work. My mom’s boyfriend gave me a huge tote full of HO trains and tracks and stuff. Fun to work with even if I can’t get it working lol
Man I miss being able to go and buy boosters at my local comic shop. I never had any friends that liked Star Trek enough to learn to play though.
How many Gamma Quadrant Dominion missions are there?
😓 "Promosm"
So if your opponent is playing Borg, why bother playing? It is just asking for a beating. You have to have a chance for it to be fun and be worth playing.
Playing against the Borg isn't a guaranteed loss by any means - it all comes down to strategy and deck construction. My own Borg deck is nearly unstoppable only because I've built and re-built it after every game and made it even more powerful.
👍
Mr. Jayman, sir, first thank you for those videos about ST CCG, thanks to them I have catch up basics. In last two years I try to buy as many cards I can to make several decks for fun play with friends. As for this video, I have one strategy on mind how to go against Cube with Dominion deck and I wonder if it could work. It rely on Bashir Founder and Supernova... Also I have one question and beg you for answer, before there were Delta quadrant mission with Voyager expansion, how did players get the cubes on spaceline? I do not know if you still watch comments on these older stuffs of yours, hopefully the question get to you. Either way thank you.
In the first contact set the rulebook states you ignore it and that quadrants would be expanded in future sets. And they were.
Criss contact as my favorite side as well. The only set that I completed and have duplicates of all the main crew so I can use them in goofing around. I just bought a decipher sealed booster box of first contact and I’m gonna keep it sealed.
Did you find baffles, dare I say baffling?🤔
I used to love to use Roga Danar - it was nice to have a Security personnel with a Command icon, as well as Engineer, Leadership, and a few other secondary skills, etc. Cunning 9 and Strength 12 - pretty serviceable for the early days of the game, and another Engineer for my old Klingon deck. I'm not sure if he's as good now, but fond memories of that one.
I love the Soong-type android, that is one of my favorite non-aligned personnel. I think I used it almost every deck I had. Especially my Klingon deck, where I seemed to always lack Engineers and had to supplement them with these types of personnel.
lmao
I played mostly when the game was pretty new (before first contact). I played all three factions, but my best deck by far was Klingon and it had its share of battles against my friend's brother with his Romulan deck. Lots of respect for the Rommies, and that D'deridex was no slouch at Weapons 9! I'm inspired to build a Romulan deck of my own. :)
The Rommies can be fun :)
Consider joining us at The Dragon's Realm! We have a dedicated Star Trek CCG area as well! discord.gg/EyvmtEmczq
@@jayman105I will, thank you!
I just found your videos and I'm getting myself back up speed. It's been a long time since I've played. Quick question: If I'm playing Romulan (for example), and I have an uncloaked ship at a location, can I force a battle on my opponent's turn if they enter my location or move though the space line where I am located? Thank you for making these!
Glad you like my vids! If an opponent ends up at the same space line location as your ship, he can initiate battle (if non-Federation). You can only initiate battle on your own turn, else you play an interrupt to do some damage to your opponent.
@@jayman105 Thanks Jay! I'm hoping to spend some time checking out more of these this evening.

Man I never knew you can just use a Nor without the site’s.
More information on NonAligned as an independent group or supplement would be good. Also you missed the Starfleet affiliation from the Enterprise Collection. It would be interesting to see how they compare with their tiny card pool.
Is there a playlist for these anywhere? When I open them all in tabs to compare the upload dates chrome sets my house on fire
No particular playlist. I uploaded them in the order in which they were filmed.
Man great cards but your gonna need to feed them like crack heads😅😂
I was in a three-player MTG group in 1995/1996. We just tweeked the rules and it was WAY MORE FUN compared boring too fast dueling. It's like 3d chess compared to checkers. Give it a try. NOTE: Games on average will go longer, and we had a minimum 60 cards in deck or larger rule. There were games that were won by simply not running out of cards. Two colors generally worked best to have a backup or supporting color. Green was a good color due to its powerful creatures as you could build up defensively over time but thrive once you reached critical mass. White worked if you had Wrath of God to clear out the non-wall creatures. Black was fun playing the Pestilence card enchantment to trim the field down and sock it to everybody. After playing 3-player MTG, I stopped playing 2-player version.
Thanks bro , I’m getting some Xmas stuff for my brother in laws and this was really informative
No summon sickness? You had the goblin raider attack as soon as you summoned them.
Hey Brotha thanks for making great vids. Do you have any deck list posted anywhere by any chance?

Love this game

Is it possible to make a think tank/vidiian deck
Nice break down. Salute
Thank you for watching!
You use drought tree at the end if you have like 95 points then drop drought tree and game over
