Jackson Hole Snowplow At 4:40 am!!!!
มุมมอง 45ปีที่แล้ว
It’s 4:40 am on Friday, 1/20/23, and the Jackson Hole snowplow is plowing an area that was already cleared at 6 pm on Thursday night. Why do they need to wake us up at this time with their beeping?! There has been no new snow so I do not see the need to plow twice in the same area at night!

This isn't really "quick thinking" this is standard safety protocol when someone is hanging from the lift like that. Also, love how the chair behind them didn't even have the bar down. Like you've got a perfect example right infront of you of how dangerous that can be.

You know they can reverse these lifts right. 1 meter down is less height. That's what they should have done in the first place. They can be kind but they could have avoided it.

I could have lifted that boy back onto the chair with arm, dipped him back down again... done a few reps of this... then placed him safely back on his chair and I think basically anyone capable of skiing could as well. I don't understand what happened.

I never understood why they don’t lower safety bars in America where everything else is regulated. I have been skiing in Austria for over 35 years and never even once saw a lift without the bar lowered. Especially when riding with kids, I mean come on guys, how lazy can one be?

I was approaching the lift at Loveland and right out of the lift about 12 or 15 feet high I saw a kid just lean forward and deliberately tumble off the lift into very deep powder. His mother completely freaked of course, but he was laughing the whole time he fell and still laughing when he was buried in pow. It was amazing to see it happen right in front of me.

Дуги безопастности существуют именно для того, чтобы подобных ситуаций не происходило. Но в кадре как минимум на двух нижних креслах дуги подняты вверх. Если эти дегенераты сами себя не берегут, то незачем их и спасать.

The big question - why couldn't they simply reverse the lift and get him off at the bottom? I'm 99% sure these lifts have that capability. I've even read that Doppelmayr DT lifts measure the grip (clamp holding chair to cable) force as the chair exits the terminal, if it is too low the lift will stop and reverse the bad chair into the terminal for inspection or removal, so reversing capability is mandatory for their design. Would require people get off backwards, but that's easier and much safer than this whole ordeal.
