@@mmbell That will come, as you build relationship with him. That it all goes hand and hand. I love the Lord so I obey his commands and his ways and because I do I have seen the fruits and changes that happen. So I fear the Lord when I think about what would happen if I decide to change up on him and started living a sinful life again what would befall me(basically the troubles he saved me from, but they’d probably be worse)

@ Oh no, it’s based on Love. I love my parents but I also feared disrespecting and disobeying them because there are consequences. If you have someone special in your life like a wife or husband you love them but you also don’t want to cheat on them because the consequences of disrespecting the relationship and covenant. It’s a respectful fear I guess another example is I love the beach but I also know and acknowledge that that ocean could literally my take my life. So I have boundaries when I go to the ocean because there is a inherent understanding in the power of the ocean. And I love God with my heart but I also have this inherent understanding of how powerful he is so why would I go out of my way to do something he tell me not to do. But to each is own. Take it with a grain of salt I guess

The fear of the Lord comes into play being obedient to his word and following his instructions knowing if you decide to live like a heathen and go against everything he says because you just don't care there's a place called hell he will send you, fear in the Word is more like respect CHRIST follow him he died for us to have a chance to inherit his kingdom, he won't force us and he won't beg us he will give us the choice to choose either his way or satan way Matthew 10:28 (KJV) And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. (And if you say GOD is cruel for that his word says this Ezekiel 18:31-32 (KJV) Cast away from you all your transgressions, whereby ye have transgressed; and make you a new heart and a new spirit: for why will ye die, O house of Israel? For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord GOD: wherefore turn yourselves, and live ye.)

Rise and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. Honestly I can relate to you. I smoked weed from 15-28 years old. It was a huge struggle but it was a multitude of things that help me quit. It was the fact I never had money but always had weed to smoke, it was the fact that I realized how bad I smelled because of the smoke. My parents were concerned about me for all those years that I’d never get my life together. I found my roommate overdoesed on a drug he offered me but i didn’t take. I was depressed and lost my job…….. I hit a level of powerless and at the moment I Surrendered and said God help I don’t know what to do I need you I can’t do this I keep making it worse. And I prayed everyday for a month to quit. I was still smoking but God would give me strength and conviction because of me praying until finally I grew strong enough to the point i that I quit everything and haven’t gone back. The Lord set me free of My 16 years porn addiction, Weed and Drunkenness. Main point is you have to get to point where you completely surrender to the Lord while being sincere and he will help you. If you don’t mean it he will leave where you are. For some people the surrender to the Lord with out much trauma needed but some their whole life has to fall apart until they submit to the Lords ways. Matthew 21:44 “paraphrased” It’s better to fall on the rock then for the rock to fall on you

@ Thank you so much, brother. In our weakness He is strong. I quit smoking weed. Praise God. No more in Jesus’ name. I plead the blood over my mind and declare that I have the mind of Christ and receive it by faith. I declare my hormones be as they should be, in the name of Jesus. No withdrawal in Jesus’ name. I have had this problem for years but no more. More prayer than ever before. Thank you Lord for my brother being a loyal servant of Yours. Bless Him in all that He does, in Jesus’ name. Allow his hands to be Yours, his mind to be Yours, his will to align with Yours. All glory to God. I love you, brother. The Lord isn’t done with us, no not ever. We have been bought at a price. Hallelujah.
