This is the book that lead to me falling in love with reading as a child. It was a thick, heavy, orange hard back and it smelt of stories and dreams and charming blissful mustiness. I read it over and over, my teacher tried to get me to read other books, so "more About Paddington" came next. Stephen Fry is the perfect reader. Thank you.

as a kid, i had a little black radio and i cant name the number of times i listened to this very audiobook every night. i often listen to asmr or history asmr to fall asleep, but nothing could ever beat this, goodnight everyone xx

well I am 78 and I listen to Paddington frequently when I cannot fall asleep, and then suddenly I am asleep, but it is also the voice of Stephen Fry that makes this wonderful story so soothing....for others please watch the late Queen Elizabeth who had afternoon tea with Paddington, this was amazing. you will all love it

author of book. he hated willy wonka and chocolate factory movie. he hates idea of gene wilder play role as willy wonka. he got someone to play willy Wonka but gene got this role instead. he was displeased because they changed things like add scary tunnel and geese on film. then he quitted

I would love to hear Eric Idle’s voice as the voice of Mr Turkentine in an animated remake, to pay homage and tribute to David Battley, one day.

This is a great full circle move having Mr Idle record this. He was one of those wanted to play Wonka in the 1971 film, so in a way this feels like a great consolation prize.
