Scag 29HP Leaf Vacuum Shredder - damp leaf piles
What do you guys charge for a job of this size?
This was part of cleaning up an entire section of town, so, a decent amount.
Is the 29hp good enough ? I might do this setup
It works great for anything that’s dry to damp. It will keep up with 2 to 3 guys feeding it. If you have larger windrows of leaves that will fill multiple trucks, I would go with one of the 37 hp models . We are of course, selling our 99 hp LCT 6000 shown in our other videos, if you’re interested in a monster. 😄
Komentari. 1
I'd take an inverted snowblower over that.
movimg snow 2 or 3 times in driveways

Great video
thanks!!
that's awesome
its amazing how quickly leaves return to dirt.every winter leaves blow in the drainage ditch in my yard.every spring when i clean it out the bottoms of the leaves allready decayed back to dirt.
Nothing better then a leaf vac
that`s a awesome leaf vac
Well, THAT sucks!
Missed some 😮

Brings back memories of my wallet and x-wife
My town used these machines, but got away from them. Now they give you a tall plastic container that you rake the leaves into. I liked the sucker, less labor. I try to get the bulk of them with my mower.
Rich people lol
😊//
Don't know how big they get, but a nearby city uses similar equipment. Everyone gets to make huge piles along the side of the road.
Yep, that's what this project was. Average engine on these is the 74hp. This is the 99hp model.
it travels it seeks the p a r m e s a n
That’s the biggest?
Looks like an old 80 hp giant vac John Deere diesel. For they extinct brand that was their biggest. But there are other brands that use 99hp and even saw 125 hp on of vac.
@@SithLordmatthewthis is the 99hp model
Could do with a bigger container then be amazing xd but beautiful 💙
so big vacuum and he still does a half ass job
How you going to have a loader that size with that much power and still leave so much behind? Must be a city crew
My new neighbor is very interested in when Im going to pick up my leaves. I like to do them once when they all finish coming down. Now I have a fence around my property so it’s not like they are blowing all over the neighborhood. So last weekend they were almost all down so I figured id do them. Go out in the morning to for a 4 hour call in to work and my neighbor again inquires about the leaves. I said theres still a few in the trees. Lol Later that afternoon I go out with the rake and leaf blower to get them all in piles away from the house and fence and shrubs. My neighbor comes out and says You will never get them all bagged before the sun goes down. I have a little over 2 acres of land. So I say it looks like I have about an hour of good light and about 90 min before dark. I’ll bet you I can get all these leaves bagged in an hour. He asks what we will bet. I say if I do it you shut up about my leaves next year and If I don’t Ill do my leaves every weekend. He takes the bet. I pull out my cyclone rake and attach it to my ride on and suck up and mulch everything in about 20 min. Another 30 min later it’s all bagged up and sitting at the curb for pick up. He came over and handed me a beer and asked where he could buy one. Lol.
You guys can't catch a break....do you ever get a dry pile?
Not in this town after the 1st week!
Was a good year for acorns! That was a soggy mess, beautiful piece of equipment
Chuggington's leaf blower IRL!
Give it more thought next time
will do!
Wet leaves are the messiest things to deal with without the proper equipment.
Yep..can't say I miss rakin' & baggin' especially when they're wet:( Good work here!
Is the big guy deliberately not vacuuming up anything the little guy rakes?
Seems not to be a teamplayer to me.
Crappy job
Leaves so wet might aswell picked em up with a bucket on a skid steer
Its an option but just some of the bottom of piles are like this. Some are dry which the vac is very quick with.
@@faircutservicesllc nonetheless quick work with that vac tho!
ya I've seen bigger vacs then that before that suck up stuff faster.
Which ones?
@@faircutservicesllc there out there ya just have to know ware to look. there ride on types some big city's use no one on the ground needed walking with a hose it's all hydraulic controls with big diesel motors. beat that
@@jeromyw385xp yea they’re made by bonnel. 74hp standard and 99hp diesel as an option. This is the 99hp one, biggest motor they make on them.
@@faircutservicesllc oh I'm sure these big ride on one's the city's use have bigger motors then that I'm sure. but the one you use is a good size tho for sure. much bigger then I'll ever get into tho. what I do is just for side work and haveing a little fun by myself tho I'm not doing it as a business like you are.
Awesome
왜 우리나라는 낚옆믈 안치우는건가 미끄럽고 위험한데
Impressive!
Why?
Dormant seeding area behind that pile
Thank you for your response.
What's the model scag? 18 hp or 29 hp? Thanks.
29hp
Usaron antes el modelo de 18 hp scag? Saludos!!!
Have you guys tried before with scag TLS-20. With Briggs & stratton Vanguard 18 hp electric start ? Thanks.
Yes - we had that one before the 29hp. Definitely an upgrade with the 29hp. The 18hp is great if you need to attach it directly to a vehicle at the hitch, but is really best for freshly blown dry piles. When the piles sit and get wet/heavy, you need the extra HP. We will likely upgrade to the Scag 37hp or 49HP diesel (world of difference) next.
Thank so much for your response. I do really appreciate that. I never have use one of those truck loaders. So l guess before to get the 18 hp. Is better the next one 29 hp big block. Thank you again. 😊😊😊😊
@@efraingarciaescalante2824 sure. Depends what works best with your setup, but yes, generally in the leaf game the more hp the better. When you really step it up, diesel is the way to go for wet, frozen, or very large collection amounts. Here is our big 74hp ODB machine that sucks up everything with no hesitation. th-cam.com/video/pMWmP2B5pbE/w-d-xo.html
@@faircutservicesllc thank you boss.
How did you mount it in the pickup bed? Great idea!
Hi Matt - it is just bolted onto the dump insert with two bolts. We had to drill two holes through the dump insert to get a 1.5"-3/8" bolt through. Make sure to use a lock nut on the bolts due to the vibrations of the machine.
