Giovanni - this music track is so nice and dreamy :) It's nice to listen when I'm reading a science fiction novel. I like the way it starts and flows. You really should collect your favorite tracks for 2024 and make one long album to end the year. @@janetcraft thank you dear Janet I wanted to make a piece that reflects the opposition of these two magnificent stones. @@giovannipignataro2539 I noticed that from the beginning when I heard the first part then moving to the second part and how the music changed. You did a great job in combing the two together. The Emerald Garden was created in some parts with the wavesequences of the korg Nautilus. but also quite complex arpeggios! this keyboard is a truly amazing tool. Very interesting. I like the way certain themes moved from one to another. Nice to see you back Giovanni :)
I too am very happy to be able to present the rest of this music. This piece was produced entirely with the Korg Nautilus. I've had it since April. It’s a gas factory, a synthetic monster! but this power is really compatible for sound design. the hybrid rhythm sequences for example come from a synthesis taken from Korg's wavestate. What makes me even more happy is to have these few words from you. you are always positive and encouraging! Thanks Janet!
@@giovannipignataro2539 Great to hear that your Korg Nautilus is working great.

Mr. Pignataro, I enjoy listening to your creation. It's very good and creative. But I'm going to give you some advice and perhaps something to think about. And that is: - Try turning to another direction regarding your musical themes. Why? Because it all sounds the same now. In this composition, I heard for a brief moment a Berlin School rhythm in which I was hoping that it would keep going, which will slowly fade out and introduce a beat that will compliment the Berlin School sound. Sort of like - Tangerine Dream and Vangelis combined together. What happened after the Berlin School sound, (in this composition) left me ... lost. It's like - the main character of a movie who leads us, (the audience) from one scene to another, building up excitement - then suddenly his little son pops out of no where and we begin to wonder and ask, who is this boy? That is what I got after listening to this music. It's like a puzzle. It's okay to start the music like a puzzle, to make us wonder - then somewhere in the middle, the music starts coming together. And in the end - everything is solved. The beginning, the middle, then the end. I'm no expert. But I try to tell a story in my music along with the visuals which helps a lot. Perhaps you might like to try creating a visual performance to go along with the music which may help to get your message across. A musician like yourself is also a story teller - so try telling me a story along with your music. Mozart did. You know what? Let's turn back time and get back to basics. Listen to the classics. Listen and look at the paintings who you hear Modest Mussorgsky's "Pictures at an Exhibitions" and you will see why. Guys like Maurice Ravel, Claude Debussy, Igor Stravinsky, Ligeti, Karlheinz Stockhausen, is one of the reasons why I do what I do :) Well, that's my "2 cents for the day." I hope you didn't think that I was too critical. I just wanted to let you know what I was thinking when I heard this music piece. All the Best. Cheers :)
dear Janet I take it very well don't worry for this title I wanted to create a light/dark atmosphere like the stone we call obsidian I didn't want the title to be too long for this immersion but I agree with your feelings regarding the architecture of this composition and it seems that there is a repetition like something already heard It’s not always easy to find inspiration! but mineralis structura and a project on the beauty of minerals and their mysteries! I don't have the means to make a video and for the moment I'm content with what I have technically. but I am very happy that you gave me your opinion! your messages are a way for me to move forward....
@@giovannipignataro2539 You leave me with something to think about. I understand now that you were trying to describe the textures and colors of the Obsidian stone in your music. I downloaded this piece and listened to it on my PC. I have to admit that it "sounds" different plus you have the chance to really hear it with an opened mind. It's the same with me whenever I upload one of my projects on TH-cam. It "feels" different. It would be like you showing me a stem of rose and asking me to compose a musical piece. We all have different interpretations of how a shiny stone or a beautiful red rose would sound. I think again, that we should go back and learn from the Classics. In this case, my mind recalls to Beethoven's Symphony No. 6 "The Pastoral" and Ralph Vaughn Williams "The Lark Ascending" both of which describes the feeling of nature. To me, I try to describe the same whenever I compose a piece about Earth's nature because nature IS music :)
@@janetcraft I am very happy that you understand the intention of this composition and indeed when I listen to it again it is this kind of feeling that comes! sometimes it's difficult to gain perspective on sound writing! I'm very happy with it, but you're right I could have turned things out differently I don't have the level of these big names in classical music, which I appreciate, but I admit that their way of doing things can help to shape an idea without falling into a "classical" academicism. thank you janet for your listening and some advice my next title will be called: lapis lazuli - the stone of ancient
@@giovannipignataro2539 Thank you for your reply. I just thought you might like to expand your thoughts when composing. I'm looking forward to your next project. (Just something crossed my mind when I read the title - "lapis." It means "rabbit" doesn't it?).
@@janetcraft Janet the Lapis lazuli has been a stone that has been appreciated for a very long time. It owes its name to its characteristic blue, a mixture of two cultures and two languages. The word "lapis" means "stone" in Latin and lazuli of Arabic origin which means "azure".

@@giovannipignataro2539 l'execution est parfaite. Le red light district de la planete rouge m'attend.
Nice. But I wasn't expecting the "up beat" part but it worked nicely as it faded away :) A voice-over narration from Carl Sagan would have worked because he was part of the Viking 1 Mission. 1976 also marked The Bicentennial Year for America's 200th Birthday. The Viking 1 mission was like the "icing on the cake" for that year :)
for the voice I should have thought about it.... You're right the rhythm came to me while creating the intro I wanted to do something powerful and hypnotic. it’s true that it contrasts with the general atmosphere but this is the only time I would put this kind of sequence I hope you are not disappointed with this change It’s a risk for sure!
@@giovannipignataro2539I think the rhythm part should stand on its own. Meaning, that it should be added to a song with basically the same upbeat tempo. Somehow it interferes with the graceful movements of "The Cydonia Face." It's like a String Quartet playing a beautiful Mozart piece until someone takes out a kazoo from his pocket and plays along :) (That might work on a TV comedy show, when I think about ... Ha!Ha!Ha! :) Don't change anything. Leave it as it is. Maybe a "Part 2" might help if you like to change it a bit. Perhaps: A voice over narrative phrase from Carl Sagan's "Cosmos" TV series?
