Deep River Farm is a suburban farm channel. This channel is designed to help anyone looking to become more self-sufficient and save money by growing a suburban garden. We cover the how to garden from beginning to end. Suburban farming generally has limited space and resources and we can show you how to grow more for less. Here you will see soil preparation, raise bed construction, transplanting, watering, fertilizing, crop placement, crop compatibility, vertical farming, trellis construction, all on a suburban farm. We are an Organic Farm. We raise chickens, quail, and rabbits to show how they can be incorporated into the gardener's suburban farm as an increased benefit to your suburban farm and becoming as self-sufficient as possible. It is also good to know that by growing organic and using nature's own products you can lead a healthier life using limited space and resources. Fishing,hunting and related travel are also taught.

Western NC Randleman High Student organizes donation drive thru Operation Mountain Relief.
Randleman High School student/cadet of the Jr. ROTC program helped organize a donation drive. This was to benefit western NC by utilizing Operation Mountain Relief through the Midway Wesleyan Church to disperse all donated goods that was collected. Given just a few weeks to complete the task the cadet, utilizing her JROTC leadership skills, administrative skills, organizational skills and communication skills thru social media and word of mouth helped make the donation drive a huge success. Here is her story of motivation that made her want to help the victims of Hurricane Helene.

Family #2's housing is truly moving along! Do the Habitat for Humanity stores get quality stuff in yoir area? Ours sometimes get some very nice stuff in cabinets, appliances, furniture, amd even buikding materials overages. I realize each chapter has thier own rules etc...but understand that in some Helene places they have been doing what they can. Aside from,every amd anything else, land fill garbage is trained out of area so both county government and garbage rstes encourage donations to the Re-Hab stores.
