Hello everyone this is my new TH-cam channel! I'm just an average Joe making DIY howto videos that could save you money around the house on your howto projects & repairs. Why pay someone else when you can do it yourself I always say. This is the place to be if you want to learn how to use your hands getting down & dirty saving those dollar bills from falling out of your pocket & landing in someone else's hands! You will see that if an average Joe (that's me) can do it then you can too. In fact I won't ever post a howto video on my channel that I think you CAN'T do. You heard right. I just happen to think that you can do everything I can do, if you just take your time & put your mind to it. Grab a bowl of popcorn or that cup of "Joe" & spend a spell with me for some hands on learning & possibly some entertainment along the way. I never know what I'm going to say next as whenever I get ready to do a howto DIY project I just whip out my video camera & go for it. Come join me! VideoJoe
How to Fish Wire Through Ceiling With Flexibit for Dummies?
How to fish wire through ceiling with flexibit for dummies is what this DIY howto video is about. VideoJoe is still working away attempting to fix a wire through a ceiling to get a power wire over to a new ceiling fan location & he's still working at it. VideoJoe already tried using a steel tape better known as a fish tape but no luck. He also tried just using the romex wire & sometimes you can poke romex cabling through if the run isn't too long since the wire is stiff & sometimes that works. VideoJoe was racking his brain thinking what else he could use & he had a light bulb moment since he did in fact have something else. He's never really used it just to fish a wire through a ceiling before but he thinks it will work! Watch & learn as VdieoJoeShows you what VideoJoeKnows...how to fix wire through ceiling with flexibit for dummies...yes!

I came back to this video & realise judging by the date you wrote down on the alarm, these might have one more year left. Time goes quick!
Dude I know! My Motha was asking me about this last time I was at her house & I told her we should be proactive about remembering when to get some new ones. Believe it or not some of these 10 year lithium back up batteries on the hard wired smoke alarms may not last exactly ten years as I put some up for a friend of mine about the same time as I did these for Motha (commonly known as Mother!) & one of hers started chirping already! It's been a good 9 plus years for this friend of mine & I told her she might as well replace it because you can't fix them yourself the lithium ones since you can't remove the battery to replace with another one & I said the only other thing she could do was take it back to the place you bought it 9 plus years ago along with the saved receipt you have & hash it out with them & they might possibly give you another one or they might refer you to the actual company that manufactures them & hash it out with them & they might give you another one seems as though they say they will last for ten years. Not sure if someone wants to go through all that hassle but the last thing I want to happen to Motha is for one of these to go off & start chirping at her house seems as though I live about 2 hours away from her so probably first of the year I will be going to The Home Depot to pick up smoke alarms for Motha so I can replace all of hers again. Of course I will probably make more videos of the next installs because I never know what I'm going to say next & then I will title them similar but different & it will give me more videos to post to my channels! Thanks for stopping by & hope all is well!
Hope you are enjoying the videos I make. I keep posting more each day as I always find something new to work on...

You always have great nuggets... like, Eggshell Paint. 🏆
Yes if you are ever planning to repaint your walls then my advice would be to use eggshell paint for a low sheen look & it will still look kind of like flat paint but easier to wash off smudges for sure.....
Great to see your determination. It helps us non-professionals when we have trial and errors... To keep cool and get another strategy. I need to look if you have done a video about converting a regular light junction to ceiling fan junction. My attic has so much insulation, it's at least 2-3 ft high.🤕
Ah you know I don't think I have ever done a video for removing a standard light fixture ceiling junction box to then install an approved ceiling fan junction box in its place & that would be a good video for sure! If your light fixture box is just a standard plastic box then chances are it will not be a wise idea to install a ceiling fan to that type of junction box since you will just be screwing your ceiling fan mounting bracket screws to a plastic threaded box...plus that type of box is probably just nailed to one side of a ceiling joist thereby not a good choice for sure. You would probably need to get up in the attic for sure in order to remove the junction box & install a ceiling fan junction box & they have one on a slide that you can install between ceiling joists or you would have to put a wood block up there to then attach a metal ceiling fan box to it & a bit of work for sure. Sometimes though depending on how old your house is there might be a metal ceiling junction box up there & I would think you could install a ceiling fan to that depending on how heavy of a ceiling fan you get for example & also sometimes the last contractor may have already installed a heavier style plastic or metal box up there that you could still use for a ceiling fan & the only way to tell would be to remove your existing light fixture to take a look. Let me know what you find...

Hey again, you're lucky to even have that door for the crawl hole, not everyone has those in their homes. I certainly don't.
Mine really didn't access much as most of the ground floor could not be accessed from this area as you saw. But on the main floor of house we have two attic access areas for above those ceilings...

I've seen videos on these in the past, and now the average Joe is now doing it. Great work.
You will be amazed how I get this ceiling fan installed without having to cut any drywall patches to run wires etc & with no attic above. It's now possible to install a ceiling fan the way I will be showing since most ceiling fans now come with a hand held remote! I've never really had to do one until now so I'm glad I figured it out since I'm just an average Joe I never had it figured out before! That's why I'm making all these videos....to show all the average Joes out there that yes they can do it too. Save that money of yours for sure because if you know how to install one ceiling fan then you can install more ceiling fans because there always seems to be not just one ceiling fan that needs to be installed....right? Thanks for stopping by yo!

I struggled in the same way. Actually I think the trick is to push in on the sides rather than pull. the clips are a bit wider than the metal lip on the fixture.
Haha now I can't remember the exact thing I did in order to remove these covers unless I watch the video again! LOL I think different style light lenses require slightly different ways in which to remove & glad to hear you came up with a way in order to remove yours without cracking an edge off or just a crack. I have seen at least different ways manufacturers have come up with for how they make & install light fixture covers similar to this & each time I come across a light fixture I just take my time to make sure I know how I will go about removing a lense cover without breaking it. Way to go & thanks so much for your message. Make today great & keep it going!

How does this fix a sagging door?
I was pointing out on this particular video how difficult it is to fix a sagging door that has spring loaded hinges on it since you have to undo the spring tension first prior to removing the hinge all together. I have lots of other sagging door videos that you can better understand how to fix sagging doors as all sagging doors are not created equal in how to fix.
