Today I am breaking in a new saw. We cross the cross fence down to the big oak and work our way towards the bigger cottonwoods. Listen to the skidder. The skidder man is your extra set of eyes. Listening to for throttle change. When he revs it, in this case, he wants me to stop cutting and move. Chicken uses his Ranger like a horse. He seperates the calf from the cow, then uses his door to corral the calf to tag it and put bands on bull calves. I start by boring out everything but the root flares. Then I realize that a sprout could cause me problems, and I cut it before releasing. To release this tree I will cut down to my flare on the front, letting the tree sit down.
