Richard Clapton is very easy to listen to. ABC is the Australian Broadcasting Commission, a TV and Radio channel from the government. Countdown use to have miming, but not all music was. NZOZ channels have heaps of music to delve into.

Jimmy has such a powerful voice but he is so good at singing harmonies and backing vocals, without stealing the limelight. I've seen a few of these but keep em coming Greg.

Well worth checking out the lyrics - although you picked up the sense of nostalgia he was singing about. Another artist that has that emotion of a life lived, worth getting back around to check out is Perry Keyes. His songs Dale Buggins Dream, Kids Day or Brylcreem, Alcohol & Pills are just a couple of all the great tracks that are well worth listening to. His TH-cam page has a great selection to choose of original videos for his songs.

The songs from his solo career, especially the first 4 albums are all great. His 4th album was a live album called Barnestorming, which this was off but it was originally on his 3rd album, Freight Train Heart. Yes its Diesel on guitar. I still don't think you have checked out "The Last Frontier" from off the Barnestorming album. It is a great song (you may have reacted to another version) but this particular version has a brilliant piano intro. It’s an above average Jimmy song. He and his band did it as well as anyone on the planet could, but it still reminds me of Whitesnake. Still hoping you’ll do (the official music video version of) “Too Much Ain’t Enougn Love” !

Yeah, it a long way from my favourite. Very radio friendly and this studio version. Diesel there on stage on footage from an actual concert. Probably at Melbourne Showgrounds in late 1980's.

One of my favs from him - unpopular opinion I know because of the "Americanized" sound Jimmy was going through at the time in 1987-88. Just a catchy melody.

Glad you enjoyed it. I reckon he’s fantastic. There is a live album was released back in the 90s that has members of INXS playing, that I really like. He’s still playing around the traps, one of my sisters went to see him play a couple of months ago. Take care 😁😁

Joe had a nag, Sunshine In Paris, running and he couldn't care what it did 'cos he sold the mare for $3.4M & that was for after she retired. The Song tracks the course of Cyclone Tracey as it hit the town of Darwin, in Australia's north. The slow part in the middle represents the Eye of the storm, when the wind stops for a time before re entering the cyclonic winds. This happened on Christmas Eve, hence the last line stating that "That year Santa never came'. Very clever Song.

Two of the best....I still love to watch these golden oldies....A 19 year old Aussie boy went to the US for World of Dance comp. he took on dance groups of 20 plus & couples to dance solo all choreographed by himself.
