Al principio del anime, Byakuya le dijo a Rukia que Ichigo se parecía mucho a una difunta persona, muy preciada para ella ¿quién era esa difunta persona? Kūkaku Shiba y Ganju Shiba dijeron que Ichigo se parecía mucho a su difunto hermano ¿quién era su difunto hermano? SPOILER… Luego, Kaien Shiba aparece frente a Rukia, se nota que es igualito a Ichigo, y se descubre que él era esa difunta persona, muy preciada para ella. Luego, se descubre que el padre de Ichigo, llamado Isshin Kurosaki, se llamaba Isshin Shiba antes de casarse con su esposa, Masaki Kurosaki. Conclusión… los Shiba son la familia perdida de Ichigo, y por eso él se parece tanto a Kaien. Lo que falta descubrir es ¿Qué clase de relación tiene Ichigo y con los Shiba, será primo o sobrino de Kaien, Kūkaku y Ganju? ¿La única razón por la que Rukia se interesó por Ichigo al principio de la serie era porque él se parecía a Kaien?

That will always be true, even if they end up on opposite sides. You can't put what they have into words. Yes, I want them to be a couple, but even if they're not, as long as the bonds are held true, I'll be content.
