The with cody run ,he done more interviews, then five star matches , all does pose and make appearances on raw and smackdown, I through roman was part time after 4 yrs as full time main event , in five months cody rhodes has done nothing, this run is , 5 months of nothing

Proposed fix: Cody needs to establish a reason why him keeping the title matters I.e. - If he says beating Roman's title reign reestablishes the Rhodes as the #1 family in wrestling (now every defense matters because he's trying to achieve a goal and creates a compelling story when he falls short and makes every challenger a threat to that goal) Don't come for me it's just an idea haha

Everyday he comes out and starts with So, what you wanna talk about. And then talks the same shit about how he won the championship by defeating Roman at WM and thanks every Tom, Dick, and Harry. He seriously needs Roman, Rock, Bloodline and Seth Rollins to stay relevant. Drew McIntryre would have been a way better champion than him and deserved to beat Roman at Wrestlemania

I never cared for Cody Rhodes, period. His feud with The Rock made him his storyline more interesting, but that's only because of The Rock. You could have inserted any random superstar into Cody's place, and the story would have been just as compelling. That said, he is an incredible athlete and has come a very long way since his days as Stardust. But here's the thing, your ability as in ring performer has little to do with your ability to be a compelling superstar. , you can have both stellar in-ring and mic skills, and skill not be a compelling superstar. I think in Cody's case, him gimmick is boring. It makes no sense. What is an American Nightmare? It sounds like a heel. Secondly, his feuds, at least as champion have been lackluster. There is no danger of him losing the title to some feud of the month.

They don't give him an arch enemy that can elevate his hero-like character, that's why. I mean, Raw has an testosterone overload with top tier roster right now and surely could move to Smackdown to work with Cody. Gunther would be a damn good one he can build up a long-time feud with. Roman is gonna be booked with the new bloodline until Rumble i bet.

The two major problems are the lack of opponents on SmackDown and predictability. Besides Randy Orton, Solo Sikoa, Kevin Owens, and Roman Reigns the only other wrestlers that could be potential challengers are Santos Escobar, LA Knight, Andrade, and Carmelo Hayes who are all in the midcard with everyone else being jobbers and/or tag teams. Also we know Cody Rhodes isn't going to lose the Undisputed WWE Championship until next year so it doesn't matter who he faces knowing they're not going to take the title from him, and in my opinion that makes the match worse because it never feels like they have a chance at winning. Gunther is in the same spot on Raw but when I was watching him versus Randy Orton I thought maybe WWE will swerve us and have Randy Orton win. I thought the same about Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens in the beginning of their match but that went away when Kevin Owens decided not to powerbomb Cody Rhodes on the apron.

I stop watching SmackDown after the draft. The problem is not Cody but the problem is the roster, SmackDown roster babyfaces who overshadows all the heels. Not having convincing and credible heels hurt Rhodes reign. HHH over relying with long term story of New BL definitely put other talents in SmackDown in cold. Their no heels that come off as threat. Cody have ran out of opponents. After Roman Reigns returned as babyface the margin is more big, he presence exposed the New BL who were getting carried by Roman's absence, only Jacob Fatu looks like a good heel in SmackDown. RAW objectively have better balance of Heel and babyfaces and hence the show have better pacing

Cody Rhodes is boring as hell, he is a terrible champion. I’m so glad that viewers are finally seeing what I’ve always thought about him since he became champion. Everybody is not lying about him, and the Cody Crybabies need to cope with it. He peaked at Wrestlemania 40 and been flopping as champion ever since then. His only saving grace is his theme song keeping him relevant and Roman Reigns returning back to save him from sinking.

I skip this mid card JOBBER'S segments and matches. He is puke inducingly boring. From his look( his dorky suits), his indierific moves, one of the worst looking finishers of all time and worst of all time. this goof's promod are horrendous. Long, verbose , shitty . Roman is million times the star cody rver will be. No contest there

Not that complicated, Cody’s entire post-AEW WWE run is less about validating the career of a wrestling, & more-so re-establishing the WWE brand as a whole He’s not an actual champion, he’s an advertisement keeping the belt warm for the actual top guys (Roman & Seth) There to do the PR, galvanize the fans, & do business. His personality as a character is stifled by how two-footed he went into corporate synergy, & now his character cannot be divorced from the meta Doesn’t help that 100% of his challengers have lost to either Roman, Seth or Gunther in the past year. He’s a champion with a division that has no threats, on any scale, not even MITB The WWE Championship on Cody ain’t a title, it’s a big sign saying “Hey sign here & this might be you” Matches & promos don’t matter. He’s just there to push a business model, not compelling stories. It’s a reason he didn’t make it 6 months without going back to the Bloodline
