"Lost What You Had" - John McVie's Gotta Band
Here's a nice little song by John McVie's "Gotta Band" featuring singer, Lola Thomas. It was released on the eponymously titled studio album in 1992 (Warner Brothers). The song was written by Ms. Thomas who appeared on this one recording and then went on to marry and have a daughter. Despite having an incredible voice, the project never got further than the one release.

"Four Years Old" - My interpretation of an Adam Sandler song.

Back when I started messing with youtube I created this little video set to an Adam Sandler song. I got kicked off youtube for copyright strikes and lost all my content and I thought I had lost this video. But these days, artists are more conducive to allowing their songs to be uploaded as they can get compensation for every play. I got lucky and found the video on an old disc so I thought it w...
"Pat's People" - An Irish Night at the Gaelic League & Irish American Lounge.

Here is a rare recording of a group of lads playing a wonderful selection of traditional Irish and Scottish songs. It was recorded to simulate their performance at the Gaelic League and Irish American Lounge in Detroit, Michigan sometime in the 1970s. There's a bit of echo that makes it sound live but no audience noise so I'm assuming they did the recording to capture the live feel. The group o...

True story. Back in my working days I used to do a little community recycling (nice way of saying I picked through garbage). One morning I found a house that had been sold and cleaned out and there were dozens of garbage bags out front. One of them contained a cassette tape with this song on it. According to the commentary on the tape, this young fellow was heading off to the military the next ...

Here's something for all the union brothers and sisters out there. Having worked 30 years at Generous Motors, most of it as a line-jockey, these tunes are a bit before my time. I think On My Way and Treat Her Right are the best tracks here...
Waylon Jennings the best
Hi Paul ,i'm from italy, and this lp,is very important for my research in the psychedlic mood at the end of 60'.it's a good band ,with good vibrations and inspiration, there's a need for me to hear these band that communicates sound of freedom and live music, the arrangements is very good ,and this 39 minutes is flowing very fast in this morning in calabrian country in south italy,i'm 39 ,but i'm foverev full of joy and happines when i could hear these band of 60' ,i imagine dream .love and beatitude when i think about this period of the history full of dream and especially music full of influence of country, jazz, rock, doo woop ,in the finally ages of 60' all seems to be possible ,love, joy, empaty, beauty, rights civil, resarch of beauty, emphathy peace new ideas of living the live.thanks for this uploaded .
It was my pleasure to upload. I am 72 and retired so this is somewhat of a hobby for my to upload content for people like you to enjoy. Also, it keeps the music alive and that's very important to me. Growing up in the 1960s and 1970s, I had a first hand connection to much of the sounds and feelings of that period. Thank you for your nice comments. For what it's worth, I am of Italian decent. My father came to America during the war (as a prisoner) and met my mother, also of Italian decent. He was from a small borough called Ligonchio in the province of Reggio Emilia. Italy will always have a special place in my heart.
Over production, this killed so many great LP's (ex. Let it Be)...
Это слишком хорошо и чисто, чтобы быть правдой.( Наверняка, очерелное поделие ИскИнта.
The guy in the blue shirt at the right front of the table at 19:39 just let loose with a stinky fart.
Down by the river was my childhood in my fantasy. Love it.
Listen is great
1969 was a good year❤. I was fourteen then. Too bad these guys didn't get off the ground. They definitely weren't promoted well , which was probably due to their sound not appealing to everyone. The last half of the lp definitely has Moody Blues influences and is the best.❤
You were born the perfect year to be born imo
No one comes close to Waylon Jennings ❤
Gracias por compartir. Y también por agregar data (nombres, fecha).
There were a lot of plants in that world a that time, some good some bad. Im not sure about them
G'day to you, dont know these Guys ,but it was good, so many Bands around That Era, thanks for this! Armadale West Aust.
What are the people in this presentation trying to prove?
That an old archaic plant that was closed two years after this video was made was somehow a world class modern marvel. That place was ancient in both design and process even in 1987 when it was shut down. I'm sure the Germans and Japanese laughed at this place.
Full realease is on Left side... no stereo bro
Thanks. I'll investigate.
Apparently, side one only has the one channel recorded. I'd have to believe this was a problem with the record pressing. Side two appears to be recorded on both channels. I use an old device that was meant to convert VHS tapes to digital and has a function for use just for audio. Unfortunately, it doesn't give me any options for balancing the channels and converts whatever is on the record album. I'm going to try to use patch cords to re-convert side one onto both channels.
@ Ya or Take an Stereo Imager? Sometimes u have 1 record and Take 2 of them to Pan
Very good folk music from the 80'
i actually love the bad quality a lot, im a massive fan of horribly recorded 1980s cassette music, amazing find dude
What town/area did the cassette come from? It reminds me a lot of some homemade tapes I got from my grandpa of him and his friends in the 80s. Not saying it's these tapes are correlated cause that would be the biggest coincidence in the world, but just curious.
I believe I found the tape in Allen Park, a southern suburb of Detroit. It appeared the family had moved and threw out loads of stuff they didn't want to keep. My guess is the young fellow had already left for the service. There was a lot more on the tape but it was just banter between him and his friends. That's how I knew about how he wrote the song for his girlfriend.
@ dang, thats a ways away from my area, worth a shot though. This is still really cool!
The song is so sweet! And the story that comes with it. When do you think it was written? Sounds like something you'd hear on a late '60s record.
I found the tape around the mid to late 1980's. Since it's about a girl he proposed to, I'd say he had written it around the same time. There was a good bit of convo on the tape as well. Him and his buds - drinking and laughing. Funny, I could tell he was trying to act all tough guy for his friends but when he sings his song, his bravado disappears.
@@paulparker3803 Allright! Again, thanks for sharing it! Would be so awesome if it finds its author eventually.
I like it, just saw that video by accident. But so sad that the quality is to much bad for enjoying!
Yes, I wish it was clearer too. I'm sure someone with the technology could clean it up and give it new life but it's beyond me to do it. I wish I had kept the cassette tape. If you saw it you would wonder how anything could have come off it. Thanks for checking it out.
The signatures on the cover look like Don Perez, Ross Lee Hardy, and Tommy T. Weld...just a guess? Good 70s rock here, reminds me of Humble Pie or Cactus! Thanks for posting, Paul!
Just imagine strolling into a hotel bar, dressed to the nines, and these guys are playing on the dais.... Why was I born too late???

Nice!...................................................................
Hiding the cover may cause extreme curiosity!!! Before they were the puritans, now the woke-insecure. Excellent version of ''I'm Down'' by The Beatles. The band has aplomb and does an authentic job. I didn't know them. Thanks.
My pleasure. Funny thing about the cover. It's in response to a violation I received for another album I tried to upload. It was a local Detroit band release from 1987 and showed (artfully) a couple of naked ladies on the cover. A little side-boob, some bare ass cheeks - nothing horrible. I got flagged and was given a violation. Had to take a stupid human test just to get a 3-month probation and the threat of a strike should I violate youtube's nudity standards again. I was going to re load it with the cover bits blocked out but I wanted viewers to see the cover, sans censorship. I went to discogs.com to find a link to the cover art and, what do ya know, someone had already uploaded the full album to youtube, cover art and all, 12 years ago. Obviously, before the woke agenda took hold. So this was my sarcastic response to the idiots that "check" content for naughtiness. But, yeah, the music is spot on.
Crazy in love r u and j love so pure and true I want same❤❤❤❤debbie

Good 70s rock .
A band called Earth Opera played a concert at my Michigan high school sometime between 1978-1981. I only remember the name because I have a signed PR photo packed away somewhere with other old ephemera. I don't remember what they sounded like, but they look like they could have sounded like this. If I come across the photo again I'll compare signatures and let you know.
Yeah, these guys also played at my high school in the Chicago area around that period 78 to 80 - maybe the same tour . I was a budding tech/roadie and volunteered to help them with lights. They also played a neighboring high school and I helped them there. I got this album from them for my efforts. They played a mix of originals and covers. They did Zeppelin, and I think I remember Freebird. I also remember them doing a really rocking version of their song Colorado live, and a few others. Nice guys.
They came to my junior high school in the late 70s too. It was in Melvindale (Strong Junior High). I remember they did covers such as Double Vision by Foreigner and the drummer sang "Sgt. Peppers". It was probably this group.
Diggn it
Man is a genius. I collect what I can from him. The positive energy is out of this world!
