Flowmaster Inc ,I just had a super 44 installed on my 2017 siverado 6.2 and it seems even quiter than my stock one . I dont get any rumble except when I punch it and even that is not great .I had resinator removed also .Got any idea to what has happened or suggestions on a different one..I saw a lot of reviews on the super 44 being great in sound and the super 50 being too quite.The super 44 had a 3inch inlet and out. Grant it the inlet was 3and a half and out 3 i didnt think that would pose much of a issue as they stretched it out on inlet slightly. Thanks in advance . love flowmaster exhaust and have had on all 5 of the trucks i have owned.

The Super 44 is our third most aggressive street muffler so an increase in interior and exterior tone is expected. The removal of the resonator should slightly increase tone but will definitely increase interior resonanace (drone). If you have an exhaust note that is similar to or quieter than stock there can be a few scenarios as too why. One of the most common installation errors that would cause a quieter exhaust tone is when the inlet and outlets are swapped, inlet as the outlet and vice versa. Definitely, something to check for. If the muffler purchase and installation were performed through an exhaust professional they may not have sold you a Flowmaster muffler but possibly a knock-off. Or they may have installed a Flowmaster muffler but not the Super 44, possibly a quieter muffler such as the 50 Series Big Block. The best way to ensure that you did receive the product that you paid for is to look for the raised "Flowmaster" logo on the body of the muffler. Sometimes the logo may be mounted facing upwards so you can feel for the logo or even slide a camera above and snap a pic. You can try looking for the part number, it will be a dot matrix style 6 to 7 digit number on either the inlet or outlet endcaps, but it can be difficult to see. th-cam.com/video/_0elPpmN2C0/w-d-xo.html If those options do not help, take a photo and a measurement of the muffler and give us a call at 707-544-4761. - Jason @ Flowmaster
