8:04 it is not about humiliating peter, i think it was more of trying to get to MJ's mind and not let scream just go "see he is defiant of your issues and does not care about you" and what makes me think of that is the miles v peter fight where miles kept telling him "you're stronger than this" and things along those lines that really show peter that he is really trying to help him because he cares, which is when he actually succeeds at getting to peter and peter tries to go against the symbiote. I think its just that venom and scream are too strong to beat only by physical means and you need the host to be wanting to get rid of it and helping you, whether it's peter or miles, in order to get it off of the host. I may be totally wrong but that's the way I have interpreted it since especially he does not have the anti-venom suit for this fight, you can even see it a little with the venom vs both spidermen fight, even if it was a bit rushed imo, where peter tries to talk to harry and not venom but i think harry himself has given up on the idea of living without venom as he sees it as his only cure to the disease.

I love playing as Miles playing as Peter is okay but Miles is much better IMO I don’t like Hailey as a love interest for Miles feels like I’m getting texts from Stephen Hawkins Gwen would have been a lot better it could set have helped set her up as a playable character like it did with Miles in the first game I’m pretty sure Peter’s Spider-Man is done after the 3rd game and I bet it’ll move on to only Miles Spider-Man

The involvement of sweet baby inc is to blame here. They turned Peter into a weak ahh superhero and tried turning MJ into a badass superhero which was very cringy, in my opinion. Her missions were the most boring ones in the whole game

About Peter Parker He is weaker than he was in 2018, but because he is fighting much stronger villains and his feelings are shaken, making him weaker, he no longer thinks he is a good hero, he He blames himself for May's death, he is no longer the same because of it, causing him to become weaker due to the emotional imbalance. When Peter acquires the symbiote, he can do things on his own again, even when dealing with stronger villains like the Lizard. Because the symbiote makes Peter let go of his strength and makes him feel good. Having confidence in your own abilities, that's why he says the suit makes him a better hero, or something like that. It's been a while since I played. When he takes off the suit, his body still has traces of the symbiote and the collective mind, something like in the Ultimate Spider-Man game. Where thanks to this his body becomes weaker, in addition to the emotional instability, even with that, he manages to deal with Scream and keep the pace About the fridge scene, it's all a matter of how it was done, since Peter was at least just under the fridge for a second, and he hit his head with everything, but he still had a fast reaction. (I saw people talking about Peter not going after Venom, but it would just be stupid for him to go after him, since Venom is a threat that he alone can't handle)

Idk how you got 200 hours in SM2 lol, I 100%ed it in 49 hours, I can’t imagine that ontop of newgame+ being more than 110 hours lol, were you just swinging around aimlessly for like 100 hours? MJ should have more of an LA Noire style gameplay. More journalism, asking questions, different outcomes which means how you play as her has actual stakes in how the story plays out. Obviously these games are linear right now i think they should consider opening it up, even if they are just these MJ missions. If playing as MJ has actual ramifications in the story it would make her moments a whole lot more enjoyable.

I think a 7 is too high. I would say 6 is around an average score but this game is slightly below average. The only decent part of my experience playing and I have like 38 hours in is the main story is ok and the gameplay is the best part. The side quest writing is atrocious and doesn’t hold up to any open world game out there.

Miles hair cut and new suit was super mooky

Can’t lie it would’ve been soo cool to see miles mom be killed by venom after harry is infected and goes out on a rampage. Man the missed out potential of this game sucks, hope the next will be better though.

for me, the worst part was finishing this game and feeling like like nothing happened. Nothing stuck to me like the first two titles of the series did. Spiderman 1 was about hope and endurance. Just when you think the worst is over, a new virus plagues New York and now Peter has to fight against time because his Aunt May is also infected and has to safe her. You can feel the sense of urgency and fear behind Peter’s actions, and i love how we get one of the most impactful scenes in the game were Peter now has to choose between the lives of many vs the lives of one. Miles doesn’t go through such things in his own game but he’s bond to his community and the people he helps protect gave me such Spider-man 2 (2004) energy that made me love Miles even more. He was finally stepping out of Peter’s shadow. Here, for some odd reason, New York feels different and empty. The lack of police presence in the game hurts the feeling that New York is also fighting alongside Peter and Miles. Also the lack of Yuri hurts this game. Whether the developers like it or not, Yuri was a big part of what made the first game map feel alive. Because we weren’t just communicating with our Ex (MJ) but an actual friend who would talk to Peter and had his back. Her turning into the female Punisher and going against everything she fought so hard to protect over one man, hurts and deeply affects how i view this game. There was a level of love and kindness that was missing in this game. F.E.A.S.T was May’s legacy and we cant even visit it. Yuri was such an amazing character who’s now reduced to a side character who in my opinion is the worst version of herself ill seen. A city with over 8.2 million residents feels empty and shallow. Spider-man 3 now has to determine whether or not it can safe this series from being cliché and boring, or tell a story that comes straight from the heart.

Im a huge fan of the Insomniac games, but replaying Web of Shadows shows how the Black Suit should be handled, at least in terms of gameplay. The story surrounding Peter's addiction felt way more powerful in WoS because you, the player, was actually addicted to it as well. It made you feel insanely powerful to use, and helped improve the theme of the story

The point abou FEAST is spot on. It was mentioned here and there but there's no real substance to it. At some point i feel that Peter has completely ignored FEAST,while simultaneously mentioning it's importance to him. In the first game,we played few missions inside the FEAST. And you can feel the connection between Peter,May and Li surrounding it. These three has been a central figure for FEAST yet in this game Peter done nothing for FEAST.
