I use this TH-cam Channel for efficient f2p training and sometimes streams.
2.615t willows with fm - 69k fm xp/hr
Unlike the old method, instead of 2ting every 3rd roll, this pattern adds additional 2t rolls by kiting the rat on very specific ticks. Combined with the right snow spawn ticks you can abuse this to save some precious ticks - yummy.
This method is a 34 tick cycle, 13 rolls: 3 + 3 + 2 + 3 + 3 + 2 + 3 + 2 + 3 + 3 + 2 + 3 + 2 = 2.615 ticks per roll.
Compared to the previous 2.667t method where its simply 8 tick cycle, 3 rolls: 3 + 3 + 2 = 2.667 ticks per roll.
This makes about a 1k fm xp/hr difference. 1.5% increase in xp/hr adds up! Its also super cool!?
Some potential things to note about this method:
- The trees never go down :(, it honestly ruins the complexity of the method. This change from forestry made me very sad.
- The rat spawns in the jail, but it can sometimes wander outside the jail. The rat that spawns near the west wall inside the jail is the one you'll want.
- If you're having trouble with the timing of the 2t, just know that if you click the snow pile the same tick the rat attacks you, then after that 3t you will auto retal for the 2t. Hope this helps!
- You want your damage splat from the rat to appear the same tick you gain firemaking xp; this allows you to 2t right at the start of finishing logs.
- You eventually run out of run, youll have to do some run energy conservation at some point. Theres probably a way to walk fm all of fm, itll probably be nicer to redx click a tree far away so the damage queue from the rat doesnt stop movement whilst p_delay'd from the firemaking script - dont ask me why this works. If not this redx walk fm strategy, you can 2.667t for a couple inventories to make some run energy back.
- If you mess up during fm and the rat is not hitting you on the correct tick, you can either go under the rat and instantly firemake (doesnt always work), or you can safe spot the rat on the corner of the fence or the corner of the church
- Occasionally you'd prob want to drop logs, since its better to end on a 2t (more rolls per hour on average if you do this). You could take it a step further and end on the 34t cycle exactly!
- Another way to save ticks might be to turbo fm a lot. If you can consistently begin the chopping with a 2t, you'll average more rolls the more you leave to fm. A theoretical method would be to do this with a 6t attacking monster (such as a farmer), and firemake after every log. Would be a 2t average per log but idk seems kinda difficult to do reliably - you only have so many squares to work with.
- You should probably bring a chisel, some random events give you uncut gems, you can 0 time cut these during firemaking when you're fully east (when you're not getting attacked)

Very fun method! Can be improved upon!!!! Ive been learning this method for 7-8 hours straight, so my hand was a lil tired im pretty sure 90k/hr is possible, with less effort than i put in the video. Just need to really familiarize urself with the timings - tons of practice needed.

i think i averaged around 12.9k/hr or so in this clip. 840.625 smith xp/law You use up 1 ring every 22-23 minutes. Snow saves ~1 tick per iron. Right click escaping saves 1 tick per trip. Click use bar on anvil saves 1 tick every time. If you're early on the snow spawning, you can delay it by opening an interface. rpg switching isnt necessary it only makes a 2-3% difference, you can still get good rates without rpg. But if you are using rpg, switch at 8 hp at 108 strength. Use fruitdeeps.app to compare rune scim set vs rpg set, to show when to switch (depending on str lvl) Notice how i utilize auto retal for easier bone pick up-age and burying. Been waiting my whole life for this video Edit: Thought this was a brand new fieeonfor some reason lol PS. I played 2004scape a bit. Idk where to report inconsistencies. Anyways, the silk merchant in ardy, I'm pretty sure you were only able to sell silk one at a time. I believe him taking an entire inventory worth of silk off you at once was added as a QOL feature in OSRS.

I'm not going to be that sweaty since I already have 99 cooking. However, much obliged for the tip. I didn't know about that PvP world bank chest placement. I had been fishing in Barbarian village, banking in Falador via tele and Skull sceptre teleporting back but I think it's better to save them for runecrafting body runes.

RS isn’t what it used to be. Quit a few years ago when they reduced the polling requirement to 70% just to make sure the new skill passed, and it wouldn’t have passed the proper 75% threshold. Huge red flag in terms of Jagex just forcing content they want regardless of what the polls say. Honestly it’s good that I quit so I can focus on more important stuff but it’s sad that the game I used to enjoy so much is long gone.
Just play 2004 servers when jagex releases their official private server mode. No need to research. They have everything archived. And there will be more players there. Hope to see you there
@@Llllillilililililillll they've said they don't have everything archived though. The only full copy of rs2 they had was rune day 1989 (august 2007). One theory is that Andrew still has some backups of the game but he's unwilling to share since he doesn't work for jagex anymore. It's reasonable to assume they archived everything, yes. But, despite the reasonable assumptions, them having the archives still is just not the case, sorry. Project zanaris has no chance of producing old versions of rs. They'd have to allow us to use old caches, old clients, old engine, and old runescripts. It just won't work with what they're currently proposing

I tried it out, was amazing!! Would be good to copy and paste password in
Checked out the alpha yesterday and was very impressed. Only complaints were the sounds being silent sometimes as you mention, and not being able to copy paste password on the login screen. I like having secure passwords and don't fancy typing in a string of 20 random characters each time. Also not sure i'd be able to play with items not getting highlighted in inventory when you use them but maybe that's a skill issue i could overcome lol.
Copy paste password is client, same with no white highlight. So those wont be changed since its from the original client-cache backup. White outline was added few weeks after the rev date we're based on. The overall goal of Lost City is to go through every client rev we have. I think the next one we have will have white outline. Theres a lot of other small things but its surprisingly easy to get used to in my experience. It adds to the immersion anyways :)

@@Sirhephaestus understand your point. But client edits are a huge no-no. May not be a part of the game world but its still a part of the client. Especially since the authenticity of the client is verifiable, client edits go against our vision
@@Tannerdino And if there was a security risk? I'm sure there's been lots patched over the years. This is coming from someone who despises the new game because of small changes that don't matter to 99.99% of players, but i don't think a blanket "no edits" policy quite works.
@@Sirhephaestus The client won't have security risks. You'll have to deal with the authenticity! Server is open source so you can always just play solo, a forked server, or w/e The goal isn't to generate the largest player base we can, it's to make sure the code is authentic. The code here is what matters
