Reef Sharks at Lighthouse Reef
มุมมอง 938 หลายเดือนก่อน
Last week when we were at Halfmoon Cay at Lighthouse Reef, Charlie McDowell (sv Island Sol) and I went diving at Angelfish Wall and were treated to lots of close shark encounters. We had brought a pole-spear to hunt lionfish, and we think that the sharks recognize the spear and are wanting to steal the fish. We didn't see any lionfish, but we sure saw a lot of sharks!

I like the unstayed rig.
What is the music? Beautiful. Following you because I am thinking about a Freedom boat - we are getting too lazy to grind winches when tacking. Would love to see vids of your boat in action. Cheers!
in u video at 8 minutesand fifty what beach is that looks so beutifull colors
excelent video, but the second song sucks (la cucaracha)
Truly amazing photos. Way above the average! We;; done and thank you.
Great adventure, thanks for tanking the time to share the experience.
I AM retiring there and in South Carolina.
Wow, I am from Mexico and lived in California, but had never seen all the beauties of the Mexican west coast. thank you
OMG this is recorded in my birthday day!
this video rocks
wow, worth getting a video camera for the next trip!
awesome :)
what a beautiful trip...
Wow, this is amazing! Could you please tell me how much it cost? Furthermore, I would like to know how long the trip took. How hard is it to operate the sail boat, how many persons does it take to operate it, How many persons were on the trip? What is the size of the boat? Did you rent it? Or buy it, if so how much did it cost? Did you use the wind or was it, mostly done by motor?
FELICIDADES muy bonito video y sean hustedes bienvenidos a MEXICO saludos
very interesting
I live in Oswego near the Dam. It's nice to see it from your side. :)
just got back from Bimini 2 hours ago. Great times! sapona, honeymoon, north. love it all. End of the World Bar and Big Johns on the north island is fun at night.
Ack... ignore the above, your boat is clearly very much bigger than 23 foot. lol Why the name though?
Some great shots. I saw a Bluejacket 23 at the Vancouver Wooden Boat Festival last week. A very intriguing design by Bill Garden and I would have loved to see some shots of her.
I was there in 2010, we stayed on Bimmini Island for 4 months, also dove off the bow,its beautiful!! you can snorkle and go threw the wreck, there where sting rays going by me and turtles and star fish all around,i was amazed how colourful and friendly they were, but scared of a shark coming up at me.
Love it!! As a child I spent a lot of time in the islands with my family camping and boating. This took me back.
i work at the abm my grandfather was one of the founders of the museum
i live in bimini its the good life...........south bimini ..
i live in bimini its the good life...........
i was there for a week in 2007. Southern Cross Club, there's nothing else like it! Oh and SSC introduced us to Tom and Jerry, a couple of super friendly groupers!
The video was produced using Corel's Video Studio Pro.
this is beautiful and I love the music.
Nice vid bud :-)-
The music is by Govi. It's Music of the Heart from the album Seventh Heaven.
Beautiful job, and I'd like to know what the guitar piece is, too!
Nice job well done Thumbs UP4U Who is playing the music?
i live in sydney
@TheHyperkid97 theres alot of barns like that 1 :) i thought it looked familiar 2 and i live here
CAPE COD!!!!!!!
If there is a place called 'normal'..it has to be PEI and the maritimes. My father gre up in Cape Breton. I've visited and I must say I'd love to retire there. Weekend ferry rides from Pictou to Charlottetown sounds wonderful. Good video and soothing music. brought back warm memories.
this is very beautifulwith this kinda soothing musik behind!!!
I snorkeled there in 1986. How cool to see it again!
Beautiful video, thanks for posting.
cgnagi: Glad that you like it. Makes me want to go back. As far as the lifespan of a grouper, I think that it's up to about 30 years.
Really liked this! Was there for a week in 1997. Looks like it has actually improved with marine life based on your great footage! The friendly grouper - Ben? That is what I was told by Little Cayman Beach Resort when I was there. Which poses the question, what is the life span of a grouper? Thanks for sharing!
I'm not positive, but I think that the clearance was 14'
I like the video, but the acoustic guitar was even better! Who played it?
Excellent video... thanks!
my g parents own an island off of fishers landing, maybe ill see you around, i work at my uncles' the harbor inn, across from the boat museum come check it out
Got to do all this! I loved it.
me too
Nice video!
One swam right between a friend & I while snorkeling in mid Magen's bay, St Thomas. So close it scared me... And I was shocked to see it's teeth! It was the first ray I'd seen with that kind of dolphin looking head! Beautiful creature though, very peaceful and elegant.
Music sucks. Makes it look scary.
