Hi! Thanks for watching my video, I’m happy to answer your questions. 1. It was not difficult to apply. I did apply as a study abroad student which is a little bit different than a normal undergraduate student, I went through a program called ISEP. 2. I didn’t have an online interview. 3. No, my program didn’t require me to know any Japanese. 4. Since I applied as an exchange student, I didn’t have to write any essays. I just had to submit my GPA, transcript, and a letter of recommendation. Good luck with your application! 🍀

Oh sure! My GPA was a 3.98 in high school and college. I took two AP classes in high school. For extracurriculars, in high school, I was a cheerleader, on the speech and debate team, briefly in law society, president of Future Farmers of America club, dabbled in some videography stuff, and placed top 10 at Hawaii USA. In college, I worked at an MMA gym, worked as a videographer for restaurants/events, was a speech coach and MC, and I competed nationally in public speaking. Hope that helps!

They did have dorms as an option, but I definitely felt like I got the most out of my study abroad experience by living with the host family!

So when you study abroad, you can live with a host family, which is basically a family that decides to let you live with them for a semester and they sort of become your temporary family while you’re abroad. A host sister is just a sister that’s a part of my host family. She’s not my biological sister, but I lived with her family for a semester.

Yes I do! They have an E-track program that basically is for students taking classes in English so all of the classes at the Ikebukuro campus is in English

@ I see. Is there Japanese student taking in E-Track program? I’m Japanese and I can speak Japanese but I have never taken any classes in Japanese bcz I went to an international school. Also, the campus in Ikebukuro is only for E-Track program?

So the E-track program is just for classes in English, and Japanese students can take it as long as their English level is high enough, which I don’t think would be a problem for you. The majority of people on Ikebukuro campus are foreigners from my experience, but there were a few Japanese students as well. And yeah, all of the classes at Ikebukuro campus are in English.

If you end up in Hawaii again, you can rent one from bike factory in kakaako! it really is so fun riding in Hawaii, feeling the wind and smelling the salty ocean 🌊 I miss it so much
