Embark on an adventure with me as I explore remote landscapes and hidden gems in my built-out Lexus GX470 turned mobile home. Join me as I seek out secluded camping spots off the beaten path, where solitude meets unparalleled natural beauty.
Two Season of Camping Compilation - Overlanding - Colorado Utah California Nevada Arizona Washington
Over the past two seasons camping I have been able to find some ultra remote and beautiful spots. Not knowing exactly where I’d be that night or if the spot would be taken or if it were any good was an interesting experience.

Moab Camping Behind the Rocks - Chicken Corners - Canyonlands National Park - GX 470
มุมมอง 36414 วันที่ผ่านมา
I am able to camp "behind the rocks" of Moab for a couple days, talking about what I regretted and what I used a lot camping the last two years. Then I explore Hurrah Pass and Chicken Corners trails which were a major treat of the season. The camping in Chicken Corners BLM land was some of the most beautiful I have seen. Then I explore the Canyonlands national park and camp right on the edge of...
Poison Spider - Golden Spike - Gold Bar Rim in Moab - Lexus GX - The Trifecta
มุมมอง 62721 วันที่ผ่านมา
Follow my Lexus GX 470 along the "trifecta" in Moab including Poison Spider, Golden Spike, and Gold Bar Rim. One of the most popular trails in Moab - I can see why this is the case. It was one of the hardest routes I've ever done but it was so rewarding. If youre interested to see if you can get your Toyota 4runner, FJ Cruiser, Tacoma, or Lexus GX through this it'll be a good measure. I have 29...
Onion Creek Overlanding - Moab Utah - GX470 - Camping
มุมมอง 489หลายเดือนก่อน
It's awesome to be back in Utah! Onion creek has been on the list of trails to check out for a while. With so many creek crossings it was a good time. Very easy trail but it brings lots of great views. Come along camping in different spots with beautiful views- I lastly check out the Adobe mesa and have a wonderful time camping on the edge. 0:00 - Onion Creek 4:25 - Hideout Canyon Camping 5:51 ...
San Rafael Swell Overlanding Offroading - Capitol Reef National Park Exploring
มุมมอง 1.2Kหลายเดือนก่อน
Theres so much to see in the San Rafael Swell region of Utah. I charted a journey across the region without hitting pavement for 120 miles. Including the Cane Wash, Fix it Pass, and Wild Horse Road. Then I met up with friends to pick some apples in the Fruita campground area of Capitol Reef National Park. We went exploring offroad on Harnett road to see these beautiful scenes of red hills which...
Ding and Dang Slot Canyon Hiking - San Rafael Swell Utah
มุมมอง 242หลายเดือนก่อน
Come with me to explore the Ding and the Dang Canyons on my first slot canyon adventure. I had a blast, my rock climbing capabilities came in handy. The canyons are so beautiful and desolate. I only came across one other group on the Sunday I was there. Camping on the edge of the Little Grand Canyon in the San Rafael Swell Utah - Buckhorn - Petroglyphs
มุมมอง 2452 หลายเดือนก่อน
I start exploring the San Rafael Swell in Utah - checking out petroglyphs and canyon walls. There are beautiful parts of scenery all around and I got to see an old geological marker from many years past. Camping in the desert can be harsh - big storms out of nowhere and harsh wind, but there was also solitude and amazing temperatures as well. 0:00 - Buckhorn Wash Petroglyphs 2:49 - Camping
Explore Glacier National Park - Hiking, Camping, Wildlife Viewing, Kayaking
มุมมอง 2062 หลายเดือนก่อน
What an amazing park to explore! I met up with some friends and explored around Glacier National Park - we were able to tackle many hikes including Hidden lake, Highline, Iceberg Lake, Ptarmigan, and Grinnell Glacier. We rented Kayaks and went out on the lake too which was great. I picked some wild huckleberries that were an energy boost while I hiked. We got to see many different types of wild...
Living on the Washington BDR Section 3 & 4 - Overlanding GX470 - Back Country Discovery Route
มุมมอง 9512 หลายเดือนก่อน
I traversed about 140 miles of unpaved roads on section 3 and 4 of the Washington back country discovery route. Camping along the way when I found a nice spot. In the middle of it I worked on changing out my rear brakes and rotors. Some of the drive was grueling, other parts were beautiful. I summited up to Chumstick Mountain too. 0:00 - Lion Rock 2:35 - Section 3 7:42 - Found a camp spot 10:52...
Leavenworth Washington - Climbing Camping Hiking Colchuck Lake Exploring German Town Sunsets
มุมมอง 7413 หลายเดือนก่อน
My friends and I explored around Leavenworth in central Washington. What a neat town- styled after german architecture - and having some really great rock climbing close by. The alpine lake hike we did was difficult but well worth it. The camp spot I found just an hour south was worth the drive and offered amazing sunset views over the mountain range. 0:00 - Bouldering 0:58 - Brats & Ice Cream ...

Ice Lake Hike - Silverton Colorado - Alpine Camping Van Life - GX470 - Color Graded / Remastered
มุมมอง 2163 หลายเดือนก่อน
I re-colored this video because the original was very washed-out and it did not do the hike justice. I decided I wanted to tackle a difficult trail named Ice Lake near Silverton Colorado. This was no joke, and the payoff was equal to the pain you go through to get to the destination. Afterwards I rewarded myself with finding a stunning alpine camp spot with views in all directions of beautiful ...

BADASS MAN. how do you like the ims.
Thanks dude!! I haven’t actually driven on solid front before so it’s hard to compare but I do love wheeling w this thing
Nice Driving! Great Footage! Love your rig!
What rocky terrain in the Monticello desert area !!!
Plateaus are like the tread of the earth. Similar to looking at a tire. LOL
A moose in the house - - HaHa
Nice , Aaron. Even a mountain goat. Ha
Hi Aaron , before you consider a camp site next to water, check out the weather patterns coming out of the Pacific Ocean. Seems like a group of storms approaching Seattle.
The Bodie ghost town state reserve takes the cake, Aaron That is so neat to see all the old technologies and artifacts in the buildings. I’m sure I’d spend a few days there.
I’m watching the Trina pinnacles video for the third time. Nice views and glad Steven and his family caught up with you to enjoy it too.
I’m reading and TH-cam’n 20 mule team borax history in the Mojave / Death Valley area. Interesting. I remember growing up and seeing the commercials and TV shows about it in the’50s.
Great video and great trail! You have a good excuse to get matching bumpers now... How long did it take you start to finish, including filming?
Hah yea the bumper situation is newly forming for me. Thanks man! It took roughly 10 or hour hours total. I spit it into two days and had camped on top of the ridge which made it nice. Second day still was taxing and long but well worth it
Looks fun
Long travel rear?
Yea it’s the Dobinson IMS - so nice and keeps from dreaded wheel lifts
Very good video! I so want to go out there! Glad you are scouting all the good trails. I'm getting my camper set up to head out soon.
Amazing! I want to come back out here in May - seems the average temps should be nice for that time of year
@@undertow_overland I would like to try and plan to meet you there. Let's keep discussing.
You WILD man!!! Out solo... great lines and BIG 🥜🥜 So cool to see your progress with sweet drone shots! 💯💥🔥
Thanks so much! Yea the drone really helps capture the scope of what’s going on out there
Hello great video , do you need 4 x 4 in this area? thanks
I think it would be best to have 4x4- a little iffy with just 2wd
You got some long nose hairs that need trimming bad.
What an amazing trip!
Thanks for checking it out! I’m glad you enjoyed it
Place is amazing!!! Thanks for taking us along 💯💥🔥
What front bumper is that boss?
Hey it’s the lil b’s bumper. I like it a lot and it was easy to install solo
ayee brother, currently building out my gX. Legit can't tell what size tire you're on. Please advise. If 34's or 35's, did you re gear? They could just be super aggressive looking 33's idfk help me out lol
Hey I am on 34s (295/70/17) I didn’t re-gear. It could probably benefit from it but it’s been fine
@@undertow_overland thank you! It looks so good on 34s. This may be the route I’ll go. Did you have to body mount chop & make room for these in the fenders? How high is your lift?
@@undertow_overland also, more importantly, without the re gear, have you noticed much gear hunting? Seems she still climbs super well on the 34s without a re gear. I’m just trying to get the biggest tire without having to re gear ..maybe will re gear to 4.88 & 35s in a couple years, but not wanting to do that quite yet
Yea I did the bmc but still rub some with compression and turning left however that’s pretty rare. Have continued to hammer in the pinch welds. On the highway it doesn’t seem to hunt for gears that much. It’s quite chill for sure which is awesome
@@undertow_overlandhow high is your lift? I have a 2” ome lift & hoping this will work w 34s.
Dude amazing edit, I'm a Utah native and have never done this route. What time of year was this? I imagine the creek crossings would be impassable at certain times of years. Could an experienced driver in a stock offroad pickup make it fine?
Thanks so much!! It was just a couple weeks ago in September. Weather was amazing- high of mid 80s and low at night in the 50s or so. Yea with that water level I wouldn’t see any issue w a stock truck on those trails except for the section on fix it pass which had some slightly more technical parts
@@undertow_overlandwhat’s the name of the trail? Cane Wash?
Yea check out wild horse road that’s the route. Not difficult
do you have steel skids plates?
Yea I have the engine, transfer and gas skid plates
@@undertow_overland what size tires do you have?
I am on 34s
The desert deer are pronghorn! They’re super cool and evolved long ago to outrun the now extinct North American cheetah!
Sweet! Thanks for the information. That’s a cool fact
Dope edit, drone flying, color grade and tunes!!! Fun to ride along 😁
Thanks so much- I really enjoyed putting this one together and exploring the swell!
Welcome to Mars!!!😅
Huta
Oh yeah!!! Super edit... dope footy and INSANE views! Thanks for the shout out... AND the wind is REAL 😳 Kim say hi too 😁
And that sunrise! Wow, great footage.
Great footage from the drone. I like that you did a long shot in the canyon. Made me feel like I was flying. Can you do more of those? Like a whole minute?
Metallica or...?
When were you there? I’m going next week but I’m wondering about Fall type weather.
I was just there a week ago at the end of August. The weather was really great there
Kim says to velcro the remote!!! Enjoyed the ride... changing rotors/pads in the field is impressive 😳
Good idea about Velcro too!
Another great video!! The hornets though... 😮🐝🐝🐝
Hi! Long shot but could you possibly share this location with me? 🙏
On the road again... 😅
Is there a Panhard correction kit installed? Good save
Thanks! Yea my buddy helped me weld it on my 2010 fj axle I put under the GX
Sick GX
Starlink is pretty great
that was tight
sweet
you removed vid...no need as no report will be made. just check for drone regs next time.
also..nice Vids
Show offf😂
lol it was something!!
Your GX stil have the stock rear diff when you did the trail?
Nah I had upgraded and replaced with a 2010 FJ diff
🖤🖤🖤
Really well shot and edited. Takes me back to the time I visited there 👍
Thanks so much! Yea it was an awesome time exploring there
Another great video... wow stunning views... But the wasps!! 😳😳😳🙃
Great clips, edit, and vibe!
Sweet trek… enjoyed the ride! That view of the lake coming down was breathtaking!!!
Skinny dipping 😂😂😂 Of course! Esp when u have THE WHOLE LAKE TO YOURSELF!! Lol Great video nephew ❤...
