The obsession pokes my forehead

To any stubborn mind
Because I walked for years
And got to the same point
These streets are familiar
Like if I’ve been here before
Days seem shorter
And the future unknown
June’s equinox had me
Skip my sleep
Not even the midnight sun
Will shine upon me
And here I am
Staring at this wall
Hanging like medals
Hanging like trophies of war
Torches light up fast
Dying along the way
I burn with them
But every spark worth the pain.
