FEAR IS A WEAPON Fear:-an unpleasant emotion caused by the threat of danger, pain or harm. - is experienced in your mind, but it triggers a strong physical reaction in your body. - is rooted in physical issues -is the most used spiritual weapon to attack. 2nd Corinth 2:11. “….forgiving keeps Satan from gaining advantage over us; for we are not ignorant to his designs (schemes)”. The power of Satan is fear. Fear leads to:- 1. Limitations- physical and spiritual 1st Sam 17:24-26…when the Israelites saw the man, they all ran away from him in fear. Proverbs 29:25...fear of man will prove to be a snare. 2. Fear is the source of death. Numbers 14:1 Heb 2:14-17…and free from those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death. Exodus 14:10-31 they were afraid and cried to God….no graves in Egypt 3. Fear denies people inheritance Numbers 13:28-33 - negative report about descendants of Anak….fear engulfed the Israelites. Numbers 14:4- “…and go back to Egypt”. Conclusion Romans 8:15.. The spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again.. The moment knowledge enters fear is dispelled. Knowledge translates into authority Jesus came to destroy Satan’s power. In the absence of fear there’s:- 2nd Timothy 1:7 a) Power b) Love c) Self control (soundness of mind) Acts 20:22-26. Paul though earlier warned not to preach in Jerusalem …he didn’t fear death. Numbers 27:1- ..Daughters of Zelophehad demanded for an inheritance.

TAKING OVER THE LAND Joshua took over when the Israelites were encamped on the plains of Moabites. Moab was a son of lot i.e they were wealthy, powerful and proud. Moab was born of an incestuous relationship between lot and his eldest daughter. Gen 19:37. The elder daughter had a son, and she named him Moab; he is the father of the Moabites today. For you to take over the city/land you must:- 1. Keep watch Isaiah 62:6-7. I have placed watchmen on your walls, Jerusalem; they will never be silent day or night. You who call on the Lord, give yourselves no rest. Numbers 13:28-30… the report by the 12 spies sent to Canaan. ..The land which you sent us, does flow with milk and honey…but the people who live there are powerful, cities are fortified and very large. NB. We need the right mindset to have success. (Joshua and Caleb) ✓ Vs 30. We should go up and take possession of the land, for we can certainly do it. ✓ How we interpret things affects what we do ✓ James 2:26.. faith without works is dead. ✓ Joshua 2:1-9 ..vs. 8 I know that the lord has given this land to you…

Joy - experience the joy of salvation 3. Peace - have peace, pursue it and share with others 4. Patience - you become patient with God and men 5. Kindness - you sympathize with others (utu wema) 6. Goodness - good to all 7. Faithfulness - faithful in giving, at work etc 8. Gentleness - (upole) 9. Self control - control your thinking , what you say, your body…

HAVE A PURE HEART Mathew 5:8 blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. Pure means: free from false, unstained, blameless, free from guilt, innocent. Will: to try to make something happen by using your thoughts. Jer 17:9-10 The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure…. NB.. God tests and classifies the heart. Deut 8:12..to humble you and test what is in your heart. Proverb 4:20-27. V23 above all else, guard your heart for everything you do flows from it. NB: we do not guard useless things. a) We should guard our hearts because its:- valuable b) It’s the source of everything you do:-wellbeing of life Heart overflows into-: thoughts=words=actions c) Your heart is under constant attacks 4 things you will pursue If you have a pure heart 1. Pure hearts pursues the will of God Deut 10:12…the Lord your God asks of you to serve him… Heb 10:7….i have come to do your will, my God. 2. Pursues faith. Heb 11:6… without faith its impossible to please God. 3. Pursues Love. Math 22:36-40 love the Lord your God with all your heart…love your neighbor as you love yourself. 1st Corinth 13:4-7 love is patient, not easily angered. 4. Pursues Peace Math 5:23-24…before you bring an offering at the altar make peace. Romans 12:18 if its possible live at peace with everyone.

RESTORATION Means to return to the rightful position (original point) or bring back to the owner. 2nd chronicles 7:14..( restoration comes through repentance) When we go back to God in repentance He restores-: 1. The lost years Joel 2:25- I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten. 2. Health Jeremiah 30:17 I will restore you to health and heal your wounds. Jeremiah 33:6 I will bring health 3. Joy Psalm 51:12 restore to me the joy of salvation 4. Rebuild the walls Nehemiah 2:17 rebuid the walls of Jerusalem and we will no longer be in disgrace. When walls are broken we lose the blessings of God. 5. Relationships Malach 4:6 he will turn the hearts of parents to their children, and the hearts of children to their parents. 6. Restoration of properties 2nd kings 8:1-6 7.

THE HEART OF FAITH 2nd Samuel 7:25-29 The heart of faith humbly recognizes that all provisions and promises come by the grace. Hebrews 11:6 without faith it’s impossible to please God Without faith it’s impossible to walk in Gods:- a) Grace - grace is divine enablement 2nd Corinthians 12:9 Grace enables one to walk in faith Grace enables one to bare pain. Lame 2:16, Matth 12:19-21 b) Mercy - when one is in a fix Math 9:27-28 two blind men ask Jesus to heal\mercy on them..by believing they are healed. Psalm 51:1 have mercy on me oh Lord Verse 2.. be merciful to me, for I am faint. Micah 7:8 do not gloat over me my enemy… 1. Faith without prayer is inactive. 2nd Sam 7:27 2. Faith without action is dead. James 2:18-22.. you have faith I have deeds. Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds. Luke 5:17:20…when he saw their faith.. 3. Faith is believing. Mathew 9:28”..Do you believe am able to do this?” NB pray for restoration of the heart of faith. Ezekiel 36:26 - Whatever I believe that God can do, He will do. - Whatever you do not believe will not come your way.
