Restoration of an "Attack From Mars" pinball. Everything was rebuilt, including all electronics. The Playfield was swapped, since the original one was pretty damaged. Absolutely gorgeous
Awesome bike! Nice job!
Hydraglide is the name of the front suspension, forks.
Should have cleaned it and let it be. They are only original once - just saying 😢 Very nice job, it looks great 👍
Naah... I have the same bike (same year, same model) for more than 40 years. But I wanted a new one, which I couldn't afford back then. Many guys (you're not the only one...) say "It's only original once" , but I don't agree, but accept it. This one will hopefully have a full second life.
It's beautiful just the same. Great job with the restoration and documentation
Awesome job !
Amazing how you can still find a complete bike even if it is boxes that hasn't been chopped and butchered.... nice job ! Any updates ? How's it running ?
Yep, sometimes you need to have some luck. Bike is running perfectly fine, but I don't ride it very often. Pretty difficult to swap between foot shift and hand shift bikes... :-) Now I'm looking for a Servi-Car!
Right on !@@jens-3949
How nice did that come out. You should definitely be very proud of the job you did. Take care and stay safe bud.
fantastic video, thaanks
Aus welcher Ecke kommst du Jens?
Düsseldorf....
Amazing work, that's all I want to do when I retire in 8 years, there's nothing better than riding a Harley. I have the 2000 version of this style bike, heritage softtail classic
Dankeschön!
Eine Skulptur von einem Motorrad meisterhaft restauriert. Wunderschön und technisch besser als jemals zuvor. Das ist Oberliga und da ganz weit vorne!
Dankeschön!
Great job! Was that Mahogany Rush in the background?
Absolutely GORGEOUS bike!!!!!!! Well done!!!!!!
Thank you! 🙂
👍👍👍 Can I have the parts information? Can you tell me your email or Instagram ID?
How long did it take to complete?
10 month, incl. all research.
@@jens-3949 you did an exceptional job and have given the bike a new life well done
EXCELLENT JOB.
Great job Jens... 😍
Absolutely beautiful job; better than factory...
Thank you!
Brings back memories of my father's 78 super glide. It was red when he bought it new and then he had it painted to this same color " candy apple red" in 1980.
Keep the memory!
The exhaust pipe protection? Is that a product which can be bought for any brand of motorcycle?
Those are Harley specific heat shields. But they are slip-on types with an inner diameter of 1-3/4” and a length of 12". So in theory you can use them also on other bikes.
🙏🙏🙏♥️♥️♥️
Vielen Dank! 😀
Very well done I wish I had one like that did you change it to 12 a volt system?
Thank you! The bike was already on 12V when I bought it. I just have redone the Generator (Cycle Electric 65A) and changed the regulator to a Cycle Electric Low Voltage one.
You are a gifted restorer, my man.
I purchased my first Harley in 78, it was an XLH. I looked at a few Super Glides at the time and I don't remember any of them looking as nice as this FXE. This is a bike to be proud of.
Thank you!! 🙂
Flickr is where you post photos. TH-cam is where you post videos. Don't do this 2003 shit of posting photos on TH-cam.
Go back to 2003 and you'll see pics of yourself dancing around a xmas tree, beating the drum....
Who is playing those blues?? Good god have mercy that is awesome!
Beautiful job, guys!
4000 harley davidson bike supply me farm veng district let go I need to place my country
Feel like riding it into a semi while being chased by cops
Where did you get the exhaust header???
Complete exhaust is from "The Gasbox", Very good stuff!
마지막에 시동은 한번 걸어줘야지.실망이다.
Enigne is running perfectly fine, but when I made the video some adjustments were still necessary. I'm working on a separate video with engine running and riding scenes...

THE BLUES IS ALIVE AND WELL
Don't know what to say,the scoot, bitchin sled,,but you ,your one hellavà wrench,,,,,, excellent fucking video .....I give you props
Man, those early Hydra's are so nice. And that paint color looks stellar. Nice job!
beatiful restoration, and wonderful video. thank you.
oh my goodness, what a beauty.... one or two questions: is that an original Harley Davidson colour, and what colour is it? it's just perfect...
This is Riviera Blue, it's a little more greenish in reality.
@@jens-3949 Amazing colour, you inspired me to paint my Evo Softail just like your panhead...
Very nice bike, please guide me..I want to buy 1947 UL frame but I dont know how to check part number as the year. Can someone guide me? thanks
Just buy the bible of all Harley restorations: "How to restore your Harley Davidson" written by Bruce Palmer. I strongly recommend the 3rd (newest) edition.

Great job. Inspiring and working on a buckaroo myself. The internal mechanism….. is that just cleaned and metal polished? What technique was used? Many thanks.
The mechanism is nickle plated on this one (there are different versions), so cleaning was very easy after complete disassemling it.
Listening to the blues and watching a pan go together, not much better.
amen to that!
Bravo! Bravo!👏👏👏
Should of added tbars club style and that ugly seat .
Super Arbeit, da steckt viel Liebe drin und das sieht man. Sieht auch 1000 mal besser as als "was Neues"😊
Danke... :-)
FANTASTIC JOB & FANTASTIC PRESENTATION. You guys did a great job and highlighted each step properly. I just bought a basket case 1980 HD FXB - Sturgis....everything it there, but in hundreds of pieces. Bike has 3,000 miles on it....engine and transmission never apart. Apparently the bike slid around a corner on the left side, but did heavy cosmetic damage only in 1980. The guy parked it....10 years later took it all apart and there it sat util I just bought it one month ago for $1,500.00. I plan to restore back to original as Sturgis model somewhat rare....I noticed you used all new nuts, bolts, wiring harnass etc, which is what I will need to do... I HIGHLY suspect, you folks have a part/by/part list of all replacement parts....would it be possible to scan me a list and source...[i.e. wiring harnass looks perfect], but difficult to find good ones....if you could my email is: c7989@aol.com Syracuse, NY Thank you so much...BRAVO!
The Most Beautiful Creature in the world....
79& 1/2 the 1340 motor came out why would that 1980 be a 1200 ? * EDIT* 78 1/2 *
Because the 1200 and the 1340 were build two years in parallel. But Super Glides (FXE) were always 1200 in 1980 (Vin starting with "9D" and ending with "J0" for 1980). The 1340 model in 1980 was a Fatbob (Super glide with 2 piece fuel tank), Vin starting with "6E"
@@jens-3949 Ok thanks for clearing that up. Back in the 80’s a guy I rode with had a fxef in red from the factory and I had (still have) a 81 low rider. Mine had the longer forks , a kicker & all black motor. Other than that the bikes were the same.
what brand of paint and what color is that? Looks great..
ICI Brillant Basislack 343 Tintocryl Brillant Basislack rot 343-9931 Basislack=Base paint, very(!) close to the original "Candy Red"
