WOW it is great to see Sal after so many years. We went through all our training together at Harmony Church Fort Benning. Charlie 4/30. I watched this man put a 15ft piece of power pole across his shoulders and run up and down the hill between our barracks lol
Nice video, good soundtrack! Hope everybody had fun!
Such great men
Awesome Display! Have a Mattel Fanner 50 that works.
P.S. Youve got a marvelous collection there, mighty impressive!
I sure enjoyed this, thanks very much for your time and efforts putting it together. My great-great grandfather was 103rd regiment, Illinois Infantry..."K" Co. He served the Union for 3 years and 3 months. He experienced a very difficult time. Was wounded with buckshot in his left calf running ammunition & ambulance duty as a Wagonmaster during the siege of Petersburg. I'm a huge American history buff, especially the Revolutionary and Civil War. Thanks, again...
Please correct the title Camp Upton is in New York...my Great uncle Frank trained there....
This is awesome!!
Sweet! Part of a collection, or is it for sale?
Please dont assume battle service by looking at damages on the cutting edge - its so damn unprofessional!! How about inspector or regimental markings instead? Very frustrating
Nice clip!
Got the yeehaw with this stuff
Can't believe how much stuff that haversack holds.
I've been watching videos like these as I plan on doing an Indian Wars impression myself and, honestly, t his was enjoyable to watch. It's fun seeing someone talk so passionately about their hobbies, kinda rubbed off on me a little.
Sweeeetttt!
Nice paint work
Great video, I’m a 13 year old reenactor with the 118 NY infantry, It sure is great to see another fellow union soldier in arms. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 I am going to the Battle of Cedar Creek in October of 2024 JESUS IS KING
I am a 12 year old reenacter and mainly go to Old Clinton War Days

My dad, who served in the Navy, just died Nov.20, 2023.This was his favorite book-he bought it at garage sales, thrift stores, and estate sales; he gave them away to anyone who would read it. He had six of them on the kitchen shelf when he died. I gave those out to my friends who had not yet read it. Such great stories of ordinary people doing extraordinary things during a horrifying time.
👍💯❤️
👍
Op just cause veteran here, 7th ID light 1/9 Manchus. Hoowah!!
Love the artwork of the uniforms, the woodland pattern looks awesome.
Very nice
These guns would get you shot and killed by the cops today. Jesus. Times sure were different back then.
Sweet collection.

Xddddddddddd
Man fix the pins there only supposed to be on the left side
On right*
1867 was when the new 50-70 rifles were used in the west. Early trapdoors
Cavalry, not "calvary". Otherwise, great model, often overlooked.
Any chapters on the West Coast I used to do civil war reanactments in North CA.5th Alabama infantry.bn.Ordance Sgt.
(Wears northern uniform) (Plays southern music) "Perfectly balanced, as all things should be."
My grandfather served with Co. C of the Texas Volunteers during the Spanish American War. I think they were initially issued Trapdoor Springfields. But his favorite deer hunting cartridge was the 30-40 Krag for the next 60 years!
The first words, my father, born 1938, heared out of the mouth of the first US doldier he saw, had been : Wo Ring? Wo Gold? ( I think, no translation into english is necessary.)
great video
I think they're up to 9 volumes now. I have several. The clutter in my home anymore is killing me, so I've been making .PDFs out of them on my flatbed scanner. You can in fact buy them now in a digital format, like Nook or Kindle for example, to view on your mobile device.
I’ve got the same problem, clutter. Luckily, we have a museum I can dump off a lot of my military stuff.
@@chicagolandveteranscommandpost Lol, I SO envy the young generation, being born into the digital world. With space-saving digital photography, Word and .PDF documents, MP3 music, Nook, Kindle, etc. Their homes never need to be cluttered with books, VHS tapes and music CDs!
