@@jakubfrankowski3343 nope, anything other than a Jet pick guard you have to drill holes and modify the shape. Even fender pickup covers didn’t fit. I had to drill the holes bigger etc. machine heads and string tree are the original Jet screws because the holes are too big. Basically you have to have a bit of patience if you want to change anything on these cheap guitars.

@@nathanchampionmusic I need to rewatch these Movies. I watched Mulholland 3 times in a row to get my own interpretation of the movie and I'm not really done with this. Lost Highway is kinda tastable too watch and I mean not too headscratching. I never watched Twin Peaks.

Yes, there is a small grub screw that is supposed to clamp down a platic collar. The issue is that the metal screw goes striaght through the said collar and goes into the metal arm. So, you can eithe rhave a loose swinging arm, or an arm that doesnt move at all. A minor issue with the wilkinson bridge.

Hi, yes the Jet is a full size body and (unlike some squires etc) they can accept the full size aftermarket tremolo units. I’ve got the Wilkinson one in my Jet. However, I’d recommend getting a Mexican Fender if you can. The Jet is only good if you’re willing to change everything on it and you could very well get a second hand MIM Strat for similar money. That’s my opinion though. I’m sure others will disagree:D thanks for watching and commenting :)

@nathanchampionmusic Yeah 👍 as my uncle once said they are made by the same Hispanic workers with the same equipment same woods and pickups etc but just south of the border , The USA Strats made in Corona are literally only a few tens of miles away 🤣👍 that's what I say to the snobs when they go on about how much better a US Strat is , Unless it's a custom shop of course

@@McB41n69 good luck with the install. The Tusq nuts are a little small compared to the slot on the Jet Fretboard.

@@nathanchampionmusic Yeah, I noticed that. I used a little Titebond on the bottom and the site closer to the bridge and left the small gap at the front. Going to let it set for 24 hours under the pressure of the strings before I play it and hoping it will stay in place. If not, I'll have to figure out some kind of shim to put in the front, but I'm guessing it will not be an issue.

@@nathanchampionmusic You ever find a nut that fits better? It seems like the nut slot on the Jet is cut to 3.5mm wide instead of 3.25mm, which is what that Tusq nut is.

@@peterbrokas8801 true about the setup, but some parts on this Jet were just terrible and I ended up replacing most of them for better ones. I’be not played a new MIM player 2 but I’ve got a 2017 Classic series MIM (pre-vintera) and that walks all over this Jet. From what I’ve heard, fender made mistakes when they moved on to the Vintera 2 era :( thanks for watching and commenting :)

@nathanchampionmusic I am doing two kit guitars from solo music here in Canada a jazzmaster and a les paul not using any of the parts except bridges and pickguards all cts pots wilkinson pickups and guyker locking tuners all in about about 550 canadian so will be good I hope some silver metallic rattle can paint on jazzmaster and blue burst on les paul wish me luck 😀

HSS pickup layout and a master tone instead of standard strat wiring

@@nathanchampionmusic I love guitar building and modding. I can watch the videos all day long. Doing some Set up out of factory is not a problem for me. I want to know the build quality of these jet guitars.

@@Dinga_Detta_Chhangte in that case then it’s down to what kind of Strat you want, underneath the js300 and 400 are very similar except: if you want modern features like two point tremolo, jack socket pointing downwards and a curved neck heel joint then get the JS400. If you want traditional Strat features then the JS300. The necks are the same on both so that’s not a factor.

@@-rubbersoul- no, not in this guitar. This one has Fender Vintage Style pickups from a 2017 classic series Strat

@@-rubbersoul- I’ve just realised that this video had the Seymour Duncan covers on the pickups…no they’re just covers that I borrowed from my guitar that has SSL 1’s in it until I got the correct fender white covers. I jokingly wrote a question mark on them, so they read “Seymour Duncan?”

Of course, I’m a left handed guitar player and play the strings upside down on a right handed Strat. When you flip the Strat, it ends up a mirror image of a right handed guitarist and easier to learn how to play. I’ve got left handed guitars but I prefer my Strats upside down (I don’t like the look of a left handed Strat) Hope this helps :)

@@Dodzee.44 yes, usually that would help but these machine heads were faulty as the gears didn’t engage until the tuning button moved at least a half a turn

I got me an artist telecaster the other day and its a nice little guitar there good for the money pickups cool action pretty good but you can alter if you like polish the frets if needed and away you go🎸

@@johnwatts8346 after UV exposure, yes. This guitar is a ‘68 reissue, so they made it look like it had aged a bit and OW s known to change colour. I also played this in pubs back when you could smoke indoors. That’s also known to change the colour. You can see it when you remove the pick guard and neck. Thanks for watching and commenting :)

I hate them upside down necks you can't get in the last notes unless you have skinny long fingers the thing is in the way but this was jimis thing.nice solo man you hit the spot
