Recently picked up a 4-piece Kent drum kit in black diamond pearl finish, circa 1968. 8 x 12" rack tom, 14 x 15" floor tom, 14 x 20" bass and 5 x 14' snare. Really great shape in 'near mint' condition. Kent drums had a reputation of not being the best quality (especially the hardware) but the set I bought plays very well nice warm 'vintage' tone from the toms perfect for acoustic/jazz in small venues.

Scott, what is the dimensions of your layout? Width x Length? Your basement is roughly the same size as mine and I want to build a layout at my home. Also, I noticed one side of your layout is up against the wall, how do you service different areas of the layout if it's up against the wall? Just curious. I love your layout sir!! Original snare throw-offs on the original USA made Kent snare drums were not the best and were rather fragile, so no surprise the snare throw off was replaced with a better one. Overall a cool kit.
