มุมมอง 104K7 ปีที่แล้ว
The bottom of our freezer was constantly filling with ice which would eventually start leaking out of the front of the refrigerator. Here is how I fixed it. Super easy!

If your 2002-2008 Ford Explorer is stuck on heat or cold then check out this video on how to fix it easily.
I want to thank you personally for this video I literally was on my way to a family gathering an I had no heat it’s 16 degrees out frozen window foggy kids crying their feet is hurting because they’re so cold and I pulled over to the side of the road and in 15 minutes we had heat and drove 4 1/2 hours to our gathering with no problems at all !!!! 🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾 Blessings to you and your family you are a legend in my book for all you are doing out here people out the kindness of your heart ❤️ 💙
It works... This video is outstanding...Thank You So Much
just wow!!!!!😯
I am trying to be a self learned technician. Your video was very informative. Thank you. But ya left me on blue balls. 😅 I thought you were going to replace the old one🤦🏾😂
2 years.. LMAO 🤣.. same here, wife is wanting a new fridge, but nooooooo way... I spent too much to not give it a try after about the same 2 year mark!
Thanks for the video I have the same problem and have everything tore apart
Does anyone know what this switch or lever is called? Or connected to? Or any advice if it's broken?
Does anyone know the exact name of this part though ?
If you use a wire hanger it's easier to pull.
I did this fix but whenever I put my heat to as hot as it can go it's still clicks very loud but pumps heat, and when I switch it back to cold the arm won't reset to the up position and I have to manually reset it
man thank u so much. saved me so much ti8me
i tryed to get the tie over the head of the arm but con't figer how to do it ??
Thank you! You helped me fix my explorer this winter!
Thank you so very much! Mechanic wanted to charge me $ 350.00 😢😮 found your video and am grateful, grateful! God bless You!!!!
Thanks for the tip. Now I have heat too. Took me about 45 mins and it was easy. I'm not a mechanic just a 60 yr old farm wife.
Thank you im having the same issue now i finally know what it is and how to fix it temporarily, who I'm i kidding is a permanent fix for me after all is an old car lol
I'm just going to cut the panel. why go through all this?
What was the name of the part
Dude, you helped me and my daughter from freezing up here as we start winter in Oregon. Much appreciated brother
Reason 2743 not to buy a ford
Nice just what I was looking for
I opened the glove box door and thanks to you was able to see the actuator and turned up the air full blast and pried it open with the screwdrive and it slammed open and now i have heat! i took off the hot/cold knob so the kids won't switch back to cold. in summer i will pop it back for AC.
👍👍
Bless ya Sir ,auto repair place wanted $1,500 with no promises. And you did a great job of filming and explaining 👍👍👏👏👏👏✌🏻💚 I had to reach hand up to feel the clicking arm, pull it 1/2 way down holding in place and turn off ignition so I could loop zip tie over. Very little visibility ,but persistence pays 👍🏻👍🏻✌🏻
gracias señor por su vídeo
STEADY THE DAMN CAMERA!
You have helped me fix many Sparta on my explorer. However I had a man fix so I thought. He took the part off from clicking and now I can’t get it back to air. Any ideas????
If now air through vents,,just stick a long straw in to open the back doors.😮
Over time the wire ties break,I have 3 of them stuck around mine. Now I just push that handle down with my finger from the glove box with the blower on high..then I stick a heavy shop towel down in there to prevent the it from closing.just jam it in there and use a long screwdriver to push it in you can leave the screwdriver in there to lock it in place. This will work all winter every time you put the blower on high. Then take towel and screwdriver out for AC.😅
Great advice, thanks. It’s the easiest, fastest way to solve this problem. I previously did the twist tie repair, but as you said it eventually broke.
How to remove it
Thank you bro so much 🙏
I pushed it down and I still hear the clicking is there anything else like this leaver that could be making the same sound mine was on hot but still at the top so I put it at the bottom and air started blowing out
Thank you!
Hi and thank you for this video, it really helped me alot. I have a question instead of a zip tie can a screw or hook be used to block/prevent the lever from going back? 🤔
What is the part called if I do want to officially fix it
I broke the little arm off? What do I do know lol
Thank you for a direct video. I have the same problem and know what to do thanks to you. Thank you!
I wanted to thank you for helping me with this winter storm had us out without heat in my Explorer XLT third row 2003 and you help me tremendously all I had to do was do it myself and save lots of money you have a blessed New Year my friend and thanks for saving us this guy is the best
the silver arm hooks where you have the wire ties
What's the replacement part number, and is it easy to replace? Or does the whole console have to be removed?
Best vid I've seen on this. Thanks.
Hello hello I did it I got heat thank you thank you omg all I did was pop one panel I did undo the clove compartment that was fun but I didn't need to someone charge 175 $ 75 for telling me what was wrong 100 for the work my dad would be proud 🥲
Thank you sir, you are a life saver.
Oh thank you so much for this video I can't even tell you how you saved my butt and my sanity!!
AWESOME HELPFUL video! Many thanks👍
Hey I tried out this video and it helped so much. The heat finally worked but I haven’t used it in about two days and today I went to turn on the car and I heard light clicking, I can still get heat but there’s some light clicking going on. I tried opening it up again to restart the process but the leaver doesn’t go down more when I push it, any tips on what do to?
Great video! I was looking for something more permanent, but this is great too. To those who might be mechanically inclined, the part that is broken is called a blend door actuator- $45 at AutoZone. Apparently, it's made of little plastic gears and can be broken by switching from hot and cold quickly, not the temp change, but the quick movement of switching. Anyway, I found some great videos, searching "blend door actuator". It's a very similar process, just on the other side of the dash.
Did the ice buildup cause any temperature issues in the freezer or fridge itself such as some areas being warmer than others?
No I never noticed any cool/hot spots
@@ericgriffin5929 thank you.
So how did you get to that drain pipe? Is it just a matter of removing the back panel, or is it more involved than that? I defrosted mine, sucked debris with wetvac then shot air down inside - was cleared of ice and gunk as far as i could see (which wasn't far) but this morning... another sheet of ice. either i didn't reach the clog or there's a different issue. Appreciate the video!
Easy peasy! Thanks!
