I charged my Chevy Volt for 8 years this way and never had a problem! Now that I have a Tesla Model Y I do the same. My Tesla came with an adapter so I used the same charger that I used with my Volt. No need to call an electrician and spend a lot of money.

Why doesn't (or maybe it does and I don't know how) the volume of the entertainment, drop so you can hear the text being read... (likw ir does when answering phone) I have to either left scroll up or down to adjust the volume and can never remember whether I'll be changing the text volume or entertainment volume. Had a 2013 Ford and it would auto drop the music volume when reading a text aloud.

Does every Tesla come with auto park or is this a FSD feature?

I finally got the update last night. I like the new windshield wiper setup however…. I live in an area with a lot of lake flies and bugs this time of year, when you drive and hit a cloud of bugs, the car thinks it’s raining and turns on the wipers… This is normal with every car I’ve had with Auto Wipers so not a big issue. But today, I turned the wipers to “OFF” and they still go once in awhile. I turned them off 6 times today and they still are like they are in AUTO.

I'm getting my Y next Saturday. What is the average supercharge cost to charge to 80%? If I charge mine in a regular 120v plug at home, what is the kilowatt energy equivalent? Is it the same as running a clothes dryer or dishwasher for 12 hours…more or less?

Can you pay the “due at signing” on delivery day with a credit card? Then monthly payments with a bank?

I ordered my tesla model 3 performance 2024, they are pushing my delivery day further which is aggravating. Now I've completed my purchase and uploaded my insurance, is there a reason why the performance models take longer? I did customize it a little black and white interior

FSD goes with the car not the driver so if you sell your car FSD goes with it. Seems like that might discourage new car sales. Another problem.... If your car should be totaled in an accident most insurance will not compensate you for your $8000 investment. Fix these two things and I'll buy it in a heart beat.

This is one of those scenarios where it sounds great on paper but when you actually do it, it’s a different story. I only have 110 V charging because I live in an apartment. My commute to work is 15 miles each way with mostly highway driving. I work six days a week so that doesn’t help my scenario. It takes about 10 hours of charging per day to break even so I don’t go down in battery level. If I don’t go anywhere else besides work and home with the car and maybe stop at the grocery store on the way, I’m good. If I decide to make the trip to visit family on Sunday that live 30 miles away so 60 mile round-trip, I supercharge to keep my battery charged up. If you don’t drive much and your commute to work is very short then 110 V charging will work. The only way I make it work in my case is I have a second gasoline powered vehicle I can use while my Tesla is charging. I don’t agree that it would work for the average driver that needs to use their car throughout the day to go places after work. Eventually, when stores have plugs to charge while you shop and workplaces have charging for employees then 110 V charging will be more than enough. Keep making great videos and content about Tesla because we need more awareness of electric cars!

If the cost of charging matters, "Time of Use" electricity rates may also be a factor on when to charge your EV at home. In my area, SoCal, the SDGE rates are the highest EVERYDAY between 4 PM - 9PM ("On Peak"). The cheapest rates ("Super Off Peak") are between Midnight - 6 AM on weekdays and Midnight - 2 PM on weekends.

Does the trip progress bar feature need premium connectivity?

Time to charge is more important to me. I have kids and a job and errands, so it’s not just the 40mi round trip to work that I have to charge for.i never have range anxiety, charging duration “anxiety”.

If I still worked in the office (6am - 2:30pm) my M-F commute would be 21min/15miles using 7-10%. That would be regained by using the 110V wall outlet in the parking garage for 8.5 hours. Once home, plug in until I need to leave again. I have two mobile connectors, one from Tesla to stay in the car and a used one from Mercari that stays plugged in at home. Having 2 would keep me from forgetting to take it with me and also having to unplug/plug the whole thing from the wall 4 times a day.

Wish I had seen this before purchasing a wall connector. Great presentation that deserves many more views.

Just to add - premium connectivity is needed for satellite map tiles in navigation (what you have on your screen instead of just gray background and roads), and is also needed for Sentry Mode live preview of the camera feeds. If the car can't get LTE signal in some remote location (but you are subscribed to premium), you can still access these two premium connectivity features via phone wifi if the phone has LTE signal.

Thanks a lot for all the videos. Super helpful to get know my new Model Y. I am struggling with something which I am hoping you could help or advice. Incoming WhatsApp calls once received via Tesla screen, the caller does not hear me, I can hear the caller fine. This issue does not happen when I initiate a call viawhatsapp on the phone. Normal network calls also work fine. Is there some setting I am missing?

My model Y applies the rear brake “parking brake” by simply tapping the park button in the stalk. You can hear it engage… and it says it does it in the owners manual.
