Sponge-Painting an Ork Walker Tank Conversion
Happy end of Orktober! This has been an incredibly fun project, from bits and conversion through experimenting with painting with a kitchen sponge! Ork vehicles really are a great canvas to experiment on - might be a start to a 40K ork army!

Happy Orctober! - Painting the Urrok Chieftain
มุมมอง 15121 วันที่ผ่านมา
Happy Orctober 2024! In celebration, I've painted up the Urrok Chieftain from Ghamak Miniatures, using the triads from the Two Thin Coats paint set. It was a really fun model to paint, and now I'll see about eventually expanding it into an Old World or Age of Fantasy Regiments army! Painting M8 Greyhound Scout Car for Bolt Action
มุมมอง 173หลายเดือนก่อน
Painting an M8 Greyhound Scout Car for the US Airborne Bolt Action army. The model is a 3D print, sculpt is by ANerdsNerd on Cults3D - interestingly, it is also designed with some sci-fi alternate weapon elements, so it would also be a great option for Konflict '47 or another Weird War game setting! Maximizing Time During Speedpainting - Practicing Focus on the Most Important Details
มุมมอง 1.2K2 หลายเดือนก่อน
Working on efficiency with painting, so I'm trying a sort of half-slapchop method. Doing a traditional layer-highlight-shadows for the focal details of the face, and letting the clothes be more slapchop! I think it turned out pretty well. Model is the "Young Lord" by YourNeighborKnight miniatures on Patreon, I really like their models for RPG characters! Music is "World's Sunrise" by Jimena Con...
Speedpainting US Airborne Winter Infantry for Bolt Action
มุมมอง 1283 หลายเดือนก่อน
How I speedpainted an infantry force for a US Airborne army in an early-winter theme! Using mostly Contrast paints to show both the M41 and M43 color of uniform, and spending a tiny bit of extra time to get the face and hands looking good. One of the goals for this army was to have no wasted bits, so I used the bodies from the RKX Miniatures Hurtgen Forest Kickstarter to fit the extra Warlord a...
Painting M3 White Scout Car for Bolt Action
มุมมอง 1513 หลายเดือนก่อน
Painting an M3 (White) Scout Car for a Bolt Action army. Model is a 3D-printed sculpt from DeweyCat on Wargaming3D (and the STL is totally free; it's a great way to check out their awesome models!). Getting excited for V3 of Bolt Action, even though these mounted MMGs won't be quite as effective! STL is here: www.wargaming3d.com/product/american-m3-scout-car-28mm/ Music is "March to Victory" by...
Starter Paint Set Review and Reference Palette for Blood and Plunder Pro Acryl Set
มุมมอง 424 หลายเดือนก่อน
An overview of the paints in the Blood and Plunder or Port Royal starter set from Pro Acryl, and making a reference palette of the colors and combinations! Definitely a useful tool to have in the paint journal, especially when starting a large project. Audio credit: Monumental Journey by Jesse Gallagher (TH-cam audio library)
Painting a Blood and Plunder Sailor - Fast and Easy with the Starter Set!
มุมมอง 474 หลายเดือนก่อน
Painting up one of the sailors from the 2-Player Starter Set, using only the paints from the 12-bottle Pro Acryl set listed on the Firelock site. If you're just getting started in Blood and Plunder, I hope this helps you get some painted models on the table! Music - The Last Goodbye, by Telecasted (via the TH-cam creator studio)
Painting Balandra Sloop for Blood and Plunder
มุมมอง 1914 หลายเดือนก่อน
My inaugural video for the Dashing Swordsman Painting channel! How to paint a Balandra Sloop for Blood and Plunder, from the 2-player Blackbeard vs Maynard Starter Set from Firelock Games. This was a ton of fun to paint! Using an airbrush made the main coats go really quick, and all the wood texture made it a great model to practice an oil wash. Happy Summer of Plunder 2024, and the Port Royal ...
Nice result on that Orc!
Thanks!
Most wonderful job you did there. Really liked the face , ı dont really see that much details in other minis generally so this was a fun video. A quick tip from a fellow follower maybe lower the music next time.
@@Eibruh Thanks! And especially thanks for the feedback on volume - I’ve been playing with levels on videos, trying to figure out what the best is!
Lovely Painting
@@jkluionmhjkyui Thank you!
Liked the way you got the face on the mini. A good face makes the mini "come alive"
Thanks! This was kind of an experiment for me, glad you liked it!
I've always said a well done face and nice basing can lift a basic paint job. I say basic here in the sense of applying speed paints rather than painting shadows and highlights. I tend to use a block in and wash method these days.
I also usually use block-and-wash for most things that aren’t speedpaint-specific; I’m just getting into actually painting shadows!
Excellent work, top notch paint job on the wood texture...
Thank you! The sculpted wood texture really made it paint-friendly.
Looks ace. great work. Im looking forward to more videos.
Thanks!! Looking forward to making more!
Just bought that pro acryl set the other day. Nice to see such good colors. Don’t know much about the game other than the South Park creators play it.
It's a great game! I've been really impressed with it. (Between the B&P and Warhammer references, SP has been killing it in the nerd world!) And I'm looking forward to the smaller-scale skirmish version (sort of) with the Port Royal kickstarter; hopefully it'll be a good way to get a bunch of games in!
