In this video Mark is demonstrating our radar and electronic warfare capability using our Tabor Proteus Software Defined Radio (SDR). In this demonstration, he is showing pulse-to-pulse frequency switching times of less than 1us, across a bandwidth of 2GHz.     Just any normal freq.sq.wave upto a few kHz..,feed it into inputs of two different gates of 2 different logic families..eg. one an FCTLSttl...other an HCTLSttl or other..,their outputs gated either with ( AND/NOR/EX-OR) in anyone of these ,..one should see some nS wide pulse on output.. The difference in their timing & voltage thresholds can determine ones target pulse... No need for MHz/GHz clocks etc.

    hi sometimes we have a rf signal that it's not repeatitive sampling this signals requires a very high samle rate analog to digital converters how can we downconvert this not repeatitive signals and use low sample rate analog to digital converters ? is there anyway?

      Frequency Converters - convert your frequency(band) of interest down to something that your A/D converter can handle.

    Nice view of the Bloch sphere, compared to the two axis diagram ('vector') The probability can be confusing as to the particular energy put in (exact) vs the description that suggests 'random', while it could be highlighted that the perceived 'random' part comes from the measurement. I.e. the difference between the coin while spinning in the air [exact energy/frequency input], and the coin after it has landed [been measured / observed]. There is some choice as to where the split is presented, because the middle bit is not observable for a single state transition.

    Mark, Quite an interesting presentation. In the first slide on Streaming Data - Understanding Memory Speed it has 1GS/s or a million bytes per second. I not sure how you got one million bytes per second if you are trying to generate 1Giga samples per second. If the sample resolution is 8bits you need to move 1 giga bytes per second not one million bytes per second. Trying to stream samples in real time from even a high-end desktop is a very nondeterministic operation. The given application need shown does point out the limits of a traditional AWG in regards to internal memory depth and its sequencing capabilities.
