@@SpaceLike9 Incorrect. When I uploaded it TH-cam told me that it will only show on certain devices. I have no clue why it won't play as 8k for some people. It works for me and others.

@@MoonviesTrailers I'm not sure then. I upscaled it into 8K using Topaz video encoder and it looked amazing. Uploaded it to TH-cam and it gave me a warning telling me that only people with the correct hardware can view it at 8k.

Its upscaled. The original was not filmed in 8k. And yes, there is 4K. If you cannot see it in 4K then the error is on your end.

Then main reason reason that the 4k version looks so smooth and fake here isn't because of the DNR. It's because the 4k one is being played in 60 fps, while the original one is being played at 24 fps.
I guess the remastered version is ok like it's better than other remastered movies

I prefer the color grading of the original version for sure. This was disorienting to see - but I like some of the increased definition in the new one. Though, it appears to come at the cost of having some waxy looking facial moments
Yea, its just meant to be a fun practice project of what it would look like in HDR and high frame rate. I dont think I could even watch a full movie in 60fps.
