watching it now im guessing beryl was there because she was famous , david was so young and im guessing hadnt worked with lots of well known actors enough over his short career at that time that they deemed it prudent to do so.

So it's not only the 7th Doctor Sylvester McCoy that plays spoons the 5th Doctor is also an expert. Nice that Peter Davison was recognised for This is Your life, he never understood why Beryl Reid was there like his other friends, plus she didn't have a clue why she was there either only working with him on Earthshock. This was a programme the whole family sat down and watched back in the good old days of entertainment we will never see the like of again.
