    I live in the Caribbean and it’s pretty humid here. We are now having temperatures around 90° and 100° in the city area where I live. I put the A/C on DRY MODE by accident two months ago and noticed the room started to cool down slowly. Been using this mode for the last month and I the room cools down to an average temperature ranging between 76° to 80° during the day and 74° to 78° during the night while keeping the power consumption down. The room usually goes down to 70° to 72° on cool mode. This dry mode is really efficient in humid areas, I don’t think I’ll be using the COOL MODE again.

    this works in humid countries. used to put on 16°c (cool mode) and felt hot once the AC is off. now i put it on 25°c (dry mode) and the AC works better and i feel colder and less 'sticky'. the dry mode works really well in humid south east asian countries 👍👍👍👍👍

    I’m having some really big problems with my AC dry mode. My house has a high wooden roof (that’s already aged) and one of the walls was getting humidity. Then I decided to turn on my brand new Hisense dry mode. But after 24 hours, I had two more walls getting “painted” with humidity… The thing is, my controller only gives me the option to choose from -7 to 7 in this mode. But doesn’t let me set a temperature. And I wonder, have I done something wrong? Or is it normal for the walls to get more wet because the humidity is going away?

      For the -7 to 7 check your manual to see the ranges on temperature. In summer I use -7 for the coldest setting but mine is another brand.

      @chichirosie5295 Dry mode is just the fan on the evaporator (inside unit) runs at a lower speed allowing more water loss over the coils. It's much slower to cool the room but removes more water

    • @AnkitSinghAnarchoAtheist
      @AnkitSinghAnarchoAtheist ปีที่แล้ว

      No... Cooling is minimal... It removes moisture from air... Best for rainy days.. As temperature is already lower in the surrounding, only moisture removal is needed.

    • @shinjihirako4773
      @shinjihirako4773 ปีที่แล้ว

      It feels cooler because of the moisture/humidity from the air circulating in the room being removed. The higher the humidity the warmer it feels. Only use it when the humidity is high like in rainy days

    • @Jon_Nadeau_
      @Jon_Nadeau_ ปีที่แล้ว

      I have a Media U- shaped ac. It says when using Dry mode it will cool "slightly" but it mainly removes the humidity. It does a good job at lowering the humidity but my room gets much colder than I want it too. Even though I usually set my ideal temp at 69 degrees my room drops as low as 63 or 64 when using dry mode. For me thats too cold and you can't control it so I have to switch back to "cool" mode because at least in cool mode the ac keeps the temp at the 69 that I like. The problem with cool mode is that the relative humidity goes back up to 60-75% again.
