Many of the video clips show the ninebos-segway mini series of rideables. I've actually ridden both the full sized segway (on a tour around Uluru in central australia) herein called segway, and two of the ninebot models, herein called ninebot. I never had a fall on the segway around Uluru and the only fall I have had on a ninebot was due to a manufacturing fault, not through ireesponsible riding or neglexting maintenence. I presently own a ninebot mini pro with a handlebar, which makes it look like a smaller version of the original segway.

The truth is that it knocks you down and if it is dangerous both for you and even for the skate itself, but it is very beautiful to travel in the meantime that once you master it it becomes the best experience, but one thing you have to keep in mind, it is not a machine with a brain, so what happens when you travel in it is because you trusted it too much.

I’ve never ridden or owned a Segway but I have followed its history closely as I’m interested in business and technology. It’s clear from the variety of comments here that there are definitely people who benefit from and love the Segway for its particular abilities. But that market is limited and not the vast mass market that was envisioned by Mr. Kamen. Those who understand the advanced computerized gyroscopic technology built into the Segway will appreciate that it is anything but a joke. It’s a hi-tech device with very useful capabilities for people in particular circumstances, i.e. the handicapped and elderly who have trouble walking, For everyone else it can be a fun device for recreation or a useful transport device for short distances. Had Kamen marketed it that way I believe it would have been a great success. It’s a damn shame such a clever and useful device was sunk by bad business decisions.

Segway was a brilliant invention it just needed more safety features! I have segway ninebot minipro and other self balancing scooters onewheel and hoverboard. They are really fun. But the biggest worry is if anything fails in electronics it stalls! But it least of your worries really!

After the crash Nintendo gave us more Story driven games where we can immerse ourselves with campaign mode, Atari for the most part didn't and continued to give us Arcade games with the endless waves. No innovation, no creativity. Hopefully they have learnt from their mistakes.
