    th-cam.com/video/fI77E36K8ZI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=QC8bPZ-IaaUvV9Ac what will win I wonder: the algorithms hacking the PPG trace or cheaper, more accessible, or even DIY RR consumables? Stopwatch and vision seems to statistically bias the result to RR16 😂

    Thanks for the great presentation. Wearables have an immense potential in preventative medicine. The biggest problem is the cost savings in the public health budget. Savings are money that is NOT spent on ineffective medicine, hospital cost (amortization), healthcare salaries and healthcare infrastructure. Surely, interest groups benefiting from these expenses are not particularly eager to play along. A year ago, I had to undergo heart surgery. Ever since I use a wearable device to monitor my health. Unfortunately, the medical professionals attending to my health have no interest whatsoever in the data I am collecting daily. Sad but true.

    I'm so glad i heard this talk. I've been banging my head against a wall for a while trying to figure this out. Is there a way to point me in the direction of these algorithm references? I'm not in college or industry but I'm trying to figure out something in this area and don't know where to find information to help me.

    For blood pressure estimation tasks, is there a recognized cleansed data set to measure algorithm performance? How is performance evaluated across datasets?

    Intresting talk professor! However, I am interested to know how stress IBI secured less than 40% correct IBI in one of your graph reflecting each activity and their correct IBI proportion. I am assuming that the subject is not doing any activity during stress condition.

    Was having problems using the example data set and here's what I did to get it working. When entering 'RRSYNTHdata' into the RRest function make sure to leave out the data at the end, the correct formatting is like in the video RRest('RRSYNTH'). I also had to download the Mapping Toolbox for the RRest toolbox to run. Thanks making and sharing this.

    Hi, If I am using my own PPG data and I do not have any reference signal, can I use your toolbox in that situation too? I just have one PPG signal recorded when the person was breathing at 5 breath per minute, so I wanted to test your toolbox.

    • @peterhcharlton
      @peterhcharlton 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can use the toolbox to estimate respiratory rates from your PPG data, but because there is no reference you wouldn't be able to assess the performance of the respiratory rate estimates. This may be helpful: github.com/peterhcharlton/RRest/wiki/Input-Data#using-your-own-datasets
